14/11/2023 16:08 | I'll believe for general sh's it will be on the 21st with Info to follow | bobonumber1
14/11/2023 15:29 | Understood. But how do we keep up to date with news from the company? | seadog40
14/11/2023 15:03 | I presume to get some consensus and input on key decisions. If they get a majority backing then it's much easier to push through. Some info, ie a sale of an asset would also be sensitive and they would not want a potential buyer being privy to that discussion. | bobonumber1
14/11/2023 05:55 | It's only for large holders | bobonumber1
13/11/2023 11:26 | The Company's next Investor Call will be held on Tuesday 21 November at 13:00 - 15:00 BST. This will be a Microsoft Teams virtual event for which the link will be provided shortly. This investor call will be a deep dive into the portfolio companies and there will be a Q&A session through the call via the Q&A chat box. | kooba
03/11/2023 17:17 | Good for you ..my knees arent up to that kind of thing anymore but love being in the mountains when we take them skiing.Have a good expedition..and watch out for the yeti's! | kooba
03/11/2023 17:12 | Yeah I am looking forward to it. My fourth expedition to Nepal in just over a decade. I have done a number of the big treks there; Kanchenjunga, Manaslu & the Tsum Valley, Annapurna Base Camp. But this will be my first time to the Khumbu / Everest region.
I grew up in a council estate and didn’t see my first mountains until I was 18! I took the Via rail from Toronto to Jasper and when I saw the Rockies, it was love at first sight.
So I can’t get enough of them basically. From Nepal to Peru to Patagonia and to the Alps, I just love it. And every time I visit I discover a new region or trek I want to do.
Anyway, I digress! Back to business. | catabrit
03/11/2023 16:53 | I am 100% certain that will be far more rewarding ! What a great experience..enjoy. | kooba
03/11/2023 15:07 | Keep me posted. I will be doing the three passes trek in the Himalayas! | catabrit
03/11/2023 14:33 | I am told there is an investor presentation in London on 15th NOV.I am registered but have not received an invite.I also notice there is now no website ( that i can see) | kooba
25/10/2023 11:54 | Yep just seems we get more folks with their noses in the trough ..whilst the investments go from bad to worse and no realisations are made. The unmitigated disaster that is ALM continues..i can see funding issues on all fronts where ALMs cannot hold their corner and will get stuffed thats if the portfolio company manages to raise anything and doesn't fail. The serial revenue misses and the overall funding environment not helping but this company was meant to be wound up years ago when we were in a much better private equity environment where shareholders could have probably received 50p in the £ for the assets ( which included cash which has now been burnt through for no advantage to anyone but the management) when the assets were many multiples of suspension price.Unfortunately i think we will end up getting less than that suspension price now. | kooba
25/10/2023 09:42 | From Crystal Amber results: Since delisting, the Fund's [Crystal Amber] engagement with the two directors of Allied Minds, Sam Dobbyn and Bruce Failing has been frustrating and unproductive. The Fund has written to both Allied Minds and two of its largest shareholders expressing concerns regarding the lack of governance and oversight. Astonishingly, much of the board's focus at Allied Minds has been on securing increased remuneration for its directors. The Fund has seen no evidence of realising or monetising investments.
Without such evidence in the very near term, the Fund will take appropriate action to protect its interests. Whilst this holding currently accounts for less than 5% of net asset value, the Fund will take action to ensure that the interests of those charged with the responsibility of delivering value from Allied Minds for its owners are aligned with the interests of its owners. The Fund is surprised and disappointed that to date, other institutional shareholders have been prepared to condone this conduct, but the Fund will continue to engage with them. | wbodger
26/9/2023 20:08 | Hoping Crystal Amber have some news this week, perhaps an update on ALM. Last year their results were on September 30. | wbodger
26/9/2023 14:44 | Apologies said was 5 days old then noticed it was from earlier in the year. | kooba
08/9/2023 10:18 | Also, the recent focus on specific verticals (education, for example) makes a lot of sense to me. I think they might have stretched themselves too thin. We want more public university contracts for private wireless as the revenue is more likely to stick around and the multiple we get on that will be higher. | catabrit
08/9/2023 10:16 | The thing with Federated that always worried me was the dollar amount of revenue considering the company’s age. Tech changes fast and the issue with planting your flag with the government is that by the time something gets approved, the market has evolved and moved on.
That said, they seemed pretty excited about some of the new partnerships and the government’s announcements around 6 GHz. | catabrit
08/9/2023 10:01 | There appears nothing much new or inspiring with Federated that i can see..unfortunately it still appears the company is better at excuses than at building revenues. Can only hope one of the big players feels the company is of enough strategic importance to buy it for decent money because i am doubting whether they have the ability to grow it alone. | kooba

03/9/2023 20:43 | It didn't load on mine because of the parameters, so I stripped them out and it worked.
To your point, Yeah, I really like Orbital, and that Satnews page is very readable.
Orbital will have to be able to licence their technology in order to finance its development. (Patents, etc. or charging for hitchhiked experiments.) I really like the near-infra-red as a field of scientific interest and that may be what's creating curiosity. | wbodger
30/8/2023 22:04 | Sorry Bodger - never seem to be able to load the links
Reads well doesn’t it ? | believer2
30/8/2023 15:17 | This might get that link to open: news.satnews.com/2023/08/28/osks-first-hyperspectral-insights-from-ghost-constellation
It opens in this tab, so hit 'back' to resume after reading.
Thanks believer2. | wbodger
