Is there any likelihood of this activity having a positive bearing on APH? ie. forthcoming drug patent expiries that could lead to generic competition and consolidation in the pharma and medical sectors this year.

Bought more at 28p as 17 percent down just on a tip sheet making room is just plain daft.

12%down and MMs going for stops.

No reason for the drop as info already in the price. Just sheep following a sell order.
Sell was purely down to needing to make space in tip sheet for some more penny miners and oilers.

Thanks Steg.Agree TEVA is old news.
I liked the recent trading update and will hold for the results in March.

If this drops in the morning it's because RHPS have said SELL basically to make room for some new shares in the coming weeks.

vaguely mentioned TEVA and that forecasts had been cut ..... Ie news that's about 3 months old already.

Alliance Pharma's management will be at the Master Investor show in Islington on 16th April. The organiser, t1ps.com, has a limited number of free tickets available for shareholders and other interested parties. You can claim one by e-mailing mi2011tickets@t1ps.com quoting "Alliance Pharma shareholder".

There we go...... "Alliance Pharma (APH) raised to buy at Numis, target price 45p"
I'm actually expecting a few more after they've first had time to check their bonuses...!

Today's Trading statement is again good news for APH and sure to help push the share price north, but I entirely agree with ganthorpe on the CULS effect, each time there's an announcement it pulls down the share price However, good fundamentals with results exceeding expectations must eventually outweigh this downward pressure.
Let's hope so, in the meantime we're left to wait for the analysts to upgrade APH

I dont see a lot of price progress till the CULS conversions ease - this is holding back the price. CULS holders can convert at 21P and seem to just sell out. To them it is a nice 50% gain and since they got the 8% CULS for income , they likely dont want to hold the ords.
There are about £5 million of CULS left to convert , so still another 25 million ords(about another 10%) to be created and probably promptly sold till we have a level playing field?
Its not all one way traffic as it reduces the interest charge and gearing , but it does dilute earnings per share figures.
So it may take most of 2011 to see this CULS situation cleared.
Lets hope trading continues to be good and that the competition to Deltracortil has a limited effect.

Looks like the L shoulder & the head since the start of the year.
Here's hoping either I'm wrong, or the H&S I see doesn't play out.

Looking cheap again here.
Forcasts are for around a p/e of 6 (but then 9, hence the drop)

However, I think they will do better than expected and will also spend some of their warchest to enhance EPS in the coming months.

Forecasts for next are for worse eps than the year about to end.

Really depends on what they do with the cash from the loan.

Solid company though and disappointing to see this drop.

I agree growth along the lines previously experienced will only come from acquisitions, the route they have persistently taken. Stockopedia is a good synopsis I think
