Is Upside part of the ANIC portfolio? The ANIC website doesn't list Upside, but is Upside just a brand name?

When can I buy a Ginsters Chicken and Mushroom slice containing cultivated chicken? :-)

Yup, it is a testing time if the focus is on the share price alone. Added to that, bar any nice surprises I suspect the really good news will not start until autumn (with Good Dog Food).I think share price will likely to continue to fall over the summer but this is in line with macro economics. The pipeline for commercialisation is pretty much set, the cash in the bank is great so the overriding feeling for me about the share price is guilt that it is so cheap.

You make a good point and it has already happened in the form of a non peer reviewed UC Davis (?) Paper using data on processes about four years out of date. It literally describes a process that no longer is relevant. Yet, Mellon has said in a recent Aspen interview that he wants to bring the farmers in the tent.I think the youtube videos are worth noting but ANIC have already side stepped this concern. Lab grown meat is hitting high end resturants first, which will side step the majority of click bait inspired thinking. And as you note, they are impressively diversified with products in cotton, pet food, microbes and hydrogen.

There is likely to be some horrendous attacks on cultured meat and fermented milk & egg products. You have to realise there are incumbents with entrenched lobbying power who will use dirty tricks. I've seen people on Youtube describe lab grown meat as using a cancer cells. Whether it is true or not is immaterial. There will be a fight over this space. Its also why I like to see ANIC as diversified as possible.

Could you share a link on your intel? Im getting the opposite on my news feed. Just two of the big news items:The news on Meatable going to production in a yearChina enter the race to table with CellXSeems like cultivated meat is entering a cold war phase insofar as a race to the table is concerned. And so far as the share price goes, it is unlikely to spike until Good Dog Food announces it's product which may well be at the end of this year. Then I suspect all the big news will be later in 2024: Liberation Labs opening their factory, Meatable in production. There will be other gems of course. I think the bottom line is that if you are in ANIC, all the big plays are lined up next year. Until then, we get to enjoy a discount.

Lots lab grown mat negatives in the press this week. Share ain't moved. share price has probably hit bottom UNLESS there's a wider market plunge.

Be Patient rewards are in the pipeline.
ANIC invested in a number of strong prospects which are expected to start showing strong results and deals with regulatory approvals thereby adding great value to ANIC share holders.

Bright future as demand explodes and RNS soon.

Principles branding agency has been hired to handle marketing strategy of Good Dog Food's first product. The UK will be first which makes sense given Pet's at Home put £3.6m investment in earlier this yearhttps://www.prolificnorth.co.uk/news/principles-to-launch-european-first-cultivated-pet-food-brand/

I saw there was a buyer for the $2 million of stock. My question is how could the buyer and sellers price be the exact same what happened to operating on a bid and an ask?

Note that there is a buyer of a sale so who is buying up ANIC stock?

Anic is a discount of 34% to the NAV per share. The average discount to NAV per share over the last 12-month period was 20%.
Can see a 14% plus gain to hit the average but as value is being created every day target should be above these levels at 16p as RNS flow.

Expect Share price to NAV being much higher as value is created and RNS released.

Future brighter every day.

(not ANIC investee but...) Cultivated beef company Aleph backed by supermarket chain Migros have put in application to the food standards authority in Switzerland. In a year europe could have its first lab grown beef in the supermarket.
