23/5/2017 19:49 | I'd say an 11% fall on that profit warning and apparent cancellation of the dividend is quite a Result. I'd have expected at least a 30% fall on that....... Amazingly the stock was actually being bought later on.......You live and learn. If the Management are attempting a MBO (similar to ITQ) then no doubt they would have been hoping for a much bigger sell off....... | pj 1
23/5/2017 18:37 | Ditto thoughts tiswas | ramas
23/5/2017 14:55 | Still they've turned a profit of at least £120k in the latter 6 months. Could've been a lot worse | boffster
23/5/2017 14:00 | I reckon less than 4m shares are not under the control of the directors. If they offered a "generous" 35p per share they could buy the company for around the value of the cash on the balance sheet. | tiswas
23/5/2017 12:06 | Rupert made a bad choice, short/medium term anyway | pj 1
05/5/2017 11:28 | Agreed it's very quiet and must admit my attention is elsewhere , core holding remains expectation for small profit , small dividend this year , potential for transformation remains but I'm not going to bang the drum any more on that. | ramas
28/4/2017 13:46 | So what is going on here ramas? Hardly a trade to be seen, no news, no interest in the thread. Where has everyone gone ramas? Time we saw this come to life again in May do you not agree? :-) | clocktower
06/4/2017 22:36 | Given the price holding up I'm expecting the matching purchases to show up soon, AEO just need to tap into the rich vein of new media income , they have the talent and kit and I suspect RP sees this potential. In the meantime they remain a profitable business | ramas
06/4/2017 22:31 | Hmmm ct rather similar to lwrf I'd say ... | ramas
06/4/2017 21:16 | Its obviously not 'Rupert the Bear' on this stock is it? :-0 His buying has probably kept it from testing that sort of level. | pj 1
06/4/2017 18:42 | Can you blame them with little if anything new on the company website or by way of a RNS. 20p if business has not picked up. | clocktower
06/4/2017 18:01 | Someone's selling out is it RP or OT ? | ramas
13/3/2017 06:38 | Oh not the Orange mopped American bloke with his Twitter Feed. still money is money. | old thumper
12/3/2017 13:13 | Their twitter feed has been busy suggesting they are seeing more opportunities? | tiswas
12/3/2017 09:45 | And if the market gets its head around this potential the price could easily reach past highs ..... maybe interesting times ahead | ramas
12/3/2017 09:44 | Clearly something is going on , consistent and significant share purchases going on, given the lack of movement these look like transfers between known parties for an agreed price. I've maintained before AEO has the potential to tap into some fantastic new media revenue streams, maybe this is on RPs mind ? | ramas
22/2/2017 14:19 | Sizeable stake declared today and positive for the share price Maybe light at the end of the tunnel. | clocktower
09/2/2017 14:27 | Perhaps AIM'ers are getting fed up with companies always tapping the shareholders to pay the BoD's salaries or digging holes only to find nothing. It's possible people want to invest in solid companies that make money and hold solid funds. | old thumper
09/2/2017 13:45 | So there is life in the dog today but I expect it will take a fair wack of buying to move it above the ask of 32p now. If it does, is there something happening in the background? A big contract maybe? | clocktower
27/1/2017 01:30 | OT - I think ct and myself are looking at the second half only not the full year and we are stating it in GBP not JPY - LOL! - also if you really think 350K why such a small divi? for an optimist you should be on a higher divi than 2p at least 3p if not 4p! I was upset when I first heard that the divi last year had been cut to 2p now I understand why - the headlines when the full year figures come out I think will read "AEO lower profits but dividend maintained " They could have paid out 3p last year but probably saw good sense in holding up the cash balances to smooth out the poor trading conditions this year while maintaining the good dividend payouts I think it was the right decision paying only 2p last year. | mark1000
26/1/2017 02:16 | I've taken a print screen of the above two prediction's and will remind them endlessly (just for fun) at the year end. I'm always wrong so I may just say 350k & 2p, always the optimist. | old thumper
25/1/2017 18:25 | If were are all going to have a guess then mine would be considerably lower - between loss 50k to profit of £50k - Dividend 1p at best. | clocktower
25/1/2017 00:43 | The second half is normally higher we can certainly expect to see profits lower than last year - particularly as I think the three year contract at Caanes has come to an end. My guess a profit for H2 of between 100K - 150K with the dividend maintained at 2p with the cash balance still around a million. | mark1000
24/1/2017 04:27 | Oh Dear, they just aren't playing the AIM game. Making a profit, holding cash and being proud of what they actually do whereas most AIM companies lose money tap the shareholders for money and dream of what they may do in ten years time. This comment reassures me, "working with several blue-chip corporations and attracting a pipeline of potential quality business." The Chairman comments are normally playing down so I take this very positive. The MM's took the results well with a uptick. One day Donald Trump will knock on the door looking for much needed help! 2017 smiles and it's only January. Cheer up CT it will be all over one day. (whatever makes you so glum) | old thumper |
