Yesterday's trading statement was a restatement of comments made in the Jan interim's and Oct finals, the company always seems to take a cautious stance unlike other AIM companies who like politicians promise the world and come up with little (eg, Trump. Now with Mad Dog why bother investing?)

"As a result, the Board of the Company now believes that trading during the second six months of the year will be below anticipated levels."

As I have no knowledge of the anticipated levels so it's hard to know how to take that one.

Some one had a hair trigger yesterday with a 50,000 trade within minutes of the statement, fast reader? Perhaps it was a automatic trade sell by their broker reacting to a drop, however yesterday LSE showed it as a buy? Tricky to say.

Always darkest before the dawn, well it is 3.45am :-)

Will the directors now use the cash pile to take out the stock they do not own, which would support the current share price So much for the value of a dividend if the share price keeps falling and ones capitol asset is shrinking at this alarming rate.
My faith in the confidentiality of the markets is partly restored - if those buying on Friday knew a TS was due, they certainly didn't know its content!
TS out at no one watching o'clock!

OT - If you have a couple of K to invest(risk) you might want to take a scientific look at PSL as science maybe its saviour and have a Santa Rally to boot - Worth researching. DYOR
Big spread discouraging buyers then burst of buys on Friday ... order filling on tightly held stock maybe
CT, science seems to be working, you make a negative comment then within hours the share price rises, umm!

I look forward to your next post (negative only please)

A late flurry - will we see what brought that one next week?
See OT popped it up for you again and this time on the bid - a true rise.
Good Luck.Expect News

Since when does science come into it OT?

I did not notice the offer changing from 26p - all that occurred was the MM pushed up the offer to try to sucker in a few buyers by making it look as though a rise of 1.5p had take effect as far as I can see looking at L2 at that time.

Try looking at the market with a Dirty Mind = Dirty Tricks - Dirty Players - Dirty Regulations - Mucky Minds, to get a different view point. :-)

CT, as having a scientific mind I noticed that last time you quoted "as there is little else going on with the company or share price at this time" and within hours we rose 1.5p. Would you mind to do it again as I'll be interested to see the result.

I must be bored but not long until the interim's and a update.

Having spent 15 years of my early career in media , renewals is what happens , indeed it the nature for customers to eventually rotate, and another will drop in place no great shakes ... as mentioned before AEO retain a good buffer of cash to cover the ups and downs , and since their inception bar 2 years have made money at a cash level, in the recent 4 years also paying very respectable dividends including specials. Everything else covered in previous posts.
Now now, discuss what you like here and that includes PEL - as there is little else going on with the company or share price at this time - so pass the time folks with a good old DingDong.

To much reliance on too few clients here and no growth - as pointed out previously a higher share price would have been more valuable than dividends earned since the share price peaked.

Maybe that was part of the five year plan they talked of.

Whats wrong with a 10% dividend seems ok to me the company is never going to be huge but its doing fine so some contracts are up for renewal.
They have kept hold of them in the past are some people short here and don't like having to pay the 10% divi I wonder.

You are full of blinkered sh*t ramas, How come you don't mention AEO reliance on a small number of key accounts? Which they have not been able to add to since April 2014? How come you do not mention that a major key contract is up for renewal in April 2017 and the risks associated with that if they do not renew (50/50 at best). I therfore conclude you are unaware of these facts or as a seasoned invsetor you would have mentioned them.

im going to just let the crew get on with their activities on PEL, lack of time - I do find it frustrating that AEO is continually bashed for a lack of earnings visibility , I would say they are as good as its possible to be - ive said many a time media is lumpy especially when you are a small outfit BUT given the history the discount is just too much I M O - note another 10% divi just paid.

OT has covered the 'why be listed question' - plus there is £300k asset AV, listing costs probably order of £50k pa.

wrt PEL one positive put forward by the bulls is that they provide earnings visibility, but of course they have a history of disappointing come results time - why believe them this time, even if they make the revenue number I suspect the operational leverage will not materialise into significant extra profit or a dividend. FV for me is still 1.5p - some large buyers have taken the price up and are pumping for 12p !!

Anyway back to AEO turf we have a profitable business able to pay a 10% divi during an average year, global market with an exponential demand for innovative content, management success planning AND a team that really seem to love what they do. throw in a couple of good deals and the valuation will look silly - while we wait taking 10% divi. Of course this aint no Zulu and its illiquid so you manage accordingly. Once criticism would be AEO should tell their story to investors - I don't think they do any PR other than the annual AGM

mm, I totally agree with you but I couldn't resist to have a look at PEL.

1: A offshore company - this worries me
2: The HMRC are all over them - I'm looking for the door
3: A odd HSBC arrangement - Where's my blood pressure tablets?
4: No cash on the books - Goodbye!

This has serviced to remind me as to why I'm here.

With respect this is not the PEL thread. Thanks.

Not at all I'll let a few more buy and then share my wisdom

What a strange person you are, You seem to want to take delight in others prospective downfalls ? If its negative then share it now so others may learn from your self proclaimed and yet unjustified 'wisdom'

@ ramas-a few posters on PEL thread are waiting for your reply to the uninvited and strange comment you made about valuation that you have yet to answer, or is it more a jealous and vindictive comment?

When the dust settles this will be a nice transfer of wealth from the many to a few , admittedly via a decent but now very overvalued stock IMO dyor of course

OK ramas, justify that statement? Please give us your valuation overview so we can work out if you are correct? thanks.

Please tell us exactly how PEL is overvalued?

Well spotted, a interesting tie up with the BFI,

Worth waking up early to find this :-)

Seems like a wise choice sticking to what you know and trust wskill. Another one like AEO in many respects is CRU and there are plenty of others but life can be a little dull if you only put your money on the favourites in every race.

Yes one takes losses but I have Rudyard Kilpling Poem "If" framed facing me as I trade, to remind me of those friends that have past away and have at least lived life to the full and took risks and rode the roller coasters of life. No good looking back, and saying "If only".If only I had made different choices, I might be richer or poorer - who knows - who really cares - family - friends - health are some of the more important things to focus on.

LWRF is not mission impossible, it has been a challenge though but looking very good at this time.

Best of luck.

It always seem doom and gloom here CT unlike LRWF with its constant placing's and tiny revenue also losses as high as AEO has profits, as for dividends from LWRF mission impossible, only the next placing to look forward to from them for the foreseeable future.

I will stick with the dividends from AEO for the foreseeable future thank you.
