Posted at 19/5/2025 16:14 by clocktower Due to the lack of liquidity in this AIM stock and many others, even though it is well undervalued, would they not have been better to pay a special dividend rather than a buyback under the announced terms. If they had the special dividend might have attracted a number of new investors. |
Posted at 28/3/2025 13:11 by michaelmouse Have you seen the "investor meet the company" presentation and questions from yesterday? If not, then please do since it's a great insight into the business.Btw nobody has yet suggested to me a company on AIM that is so lowly valued, is profitable, cash generative and dividend paying with plans for a share buyback. Any suggestions? |
Posted at 28/3/2025 07:13 by tiswas MMBut the problem is that bottom line AEO makes a couple of percent or so on turnover, in a good year. For a creative added value business that wins industry award after award this is really the sort of bottom line return you would expect from a company making widgets! Do you have plans to interview them and is this a question you could be asking? |
Posted at 27/3/2025 14:14 by michaelmouse Jam tomorrow-ish?? I think I'd tend to apply that to the pre-revenue companies that are on multi-million pound valuations. There are plenty of those.AEO is back on a growth trajectory with sizeable revenues and healthy profits. Not to mention being cash generative and a chunky dividend payer. I love the fact that they'll be conducting a share buyback. It's pretty illiquid so buying in the open market should significantly move the share price upwards. |
Posted at 26/3/2025 17:23 by michaelmouse Looks pretty encouraging to me. Underlying profit forecast for the 12 months is a minimum £550,000 which is a 26% uplift from last year. They currently have £2.75m worth of cash. They intend to continue to pay a dividend (6.7% based on 3p). Also expecting to announce a share buyback programme (around £200,000 worth). Given that around £5000 worth of buy trades moved the share price up by about 4.65% today, the share buyback should have a significant positive impact. The market cap. is less than £4.5m or £1.75m if you take out the cash. If anyone can name an AIM listed tiddler with similar figures and growth prospects I'd be very interested. |
Posted at 12/3/2025 13:38 by michaelmouse The enterprise value is just telling me that AEO is cheap on all known facts at the moment. I think it's closer to £3m actually, against a market cap. of £4.2m.It's a growing, profitable, dividend paying (nearly 7%) and cash generative business. Not many of those on AIM. It will be interesting to see the next update, but they've traditionally done well even in the most difficult times. |

Posted at 11/11/2024 08:43 by rivaldo I've a small holding here, and given the share price decline I thought today's results and commentary actually read pretty well. This H1 might not be great, but overall the prospects to June '25 look more optimistic:- £1.7m cash against the £5m m/cap - at £0.44m PBT still nicely profitable in a down year, and figures slightly ahead of July's guidance - "we await the finalisation of several contracts and the scheduling of new opportunities. We will update the market as developments unfold" - Cannes Lions looks bullish for 2025 - the USA arm now has "an impressive roster of U.S. based clients" - AEO will have a presence at Davos's Global Economic Forum in Jan for the first time - AEO are also now represented in Austin, home of the massive SXSW music festival - there's an ongoing programme to reduce costs - they're "therefore cautiously optimistic for FY2025 and believe that the most uncertain times may be behind us" |
