17/6/2021 21:27 | GSG I'm very relaxed on this matter and I'm convinced we will hear soon, Leslie was maybe too confident and honest and maybe should have been more like other less British CEOs which I came across over the years who always give extended deadlines to please even if there are delays. What is key to me here as an investor is that the economics of Buffalo on paper are stellar for a company with our market cap and other deals will follow. Enough from me, time to post less and be patient, trusting my conviction for this medium/long term investment of mine. | shareinvestment1
17/6/2021 20:50 | SI, thanks for your input. Much appreciated. As a bottom feeder, I like the dynamics here. Hopefully the directors will live up to expectations. As an investor, I'am not a fan boy of the company, I'm a part owner (in theory), and I expect directors to live up to their strategy and timescales . So when a director informs me that a drilling contract will be delivered within 4-6 weeks, there credibility must be questioned when 7 weeks later nothing has transpired. I would be happy, even if they were tell me some unpalatable news, such as the drilling had been delayed until the spring of next year because of the cyclone season. But to say nothing looks to be a poor show for a new company. It sets the tone and investors will not trust them next time around. | gsg
17/6/2021 19:36 | GSG It looks as if we think alike and I had similar investments and returns over the years. Yes they have received almost half of their stake in free options, but they also put in their money, namely £500,000 when they joined(Leslie, Mark and John), approx £24,000 (Mark and Leslie in September 2020) and £430,000 (Mark and Leslie) at 2.6p, so almost £1mio. I'm confident in them and have been accumulating since their arrival, as I spoke with them and liked very much what I have seen from day one and their strategy. As you say only time will tell. | shareinvestment1
17/6/2021 19:22 | I'm not frustrated hazl, but I sense you hit the nail on the head re modern day trading. Far from it. I'm very hopeful for ADV. I just feel a dose of reality is required at times. Lets hope we all make a good wedge out of ADV. | gsg
17/6/2021 19:08 | Your frustration is understandable GSG. These days people seem to believe they can jump in at the last minute, and let's face it oil is all over the place. Gone seems to be the buy and hold strategy, now take your profits while you can. Perhaps we were a bit early here that's all. I cope with it by selling a few, when I sense that, and then it feels more manageable for me. Different people will do whatever makes them feel comfortable, but I still feel, as the time nears, there will be a bit of 'clamoring.' I was lucky with PGD and got out at 70 but am not a big spender . Well done on your various gains. It's a funny climate out there at the moment and I get the feeling shares are losing their sparkle....for me anyway. Bull market is likely over . | hazl
17/6/2021 18:31 | SI, Their "significant skin in the game" involves a whole load of FREE options, which accounts for more than half of their skin in the game. I can out trump you with 45 years experience at this. Some massive wins, including buying JKX at 8p up to £5, Majestic Silver at $2 and Great Panther at 60c making millions in the process, as well as some horrific losses with PGD from 10p up to 70p and back down to o.5p losing over £1m in one go. So lets debate ADV on its merits. | gsg
17/6/2021 17:36 | GSG All valid points, but remember these guys have significant skin in the game and from my experience of investing in AIM small cap shares for almost 30 years, this is a key element for them to perform and get ADV to mid cap. | shareinvestment1
17/6/2021 17:04 | I'm hopeful that the cv's and experience of the directors can generate significant returns here, however it is not a given. There are plenty of examples of highly qualified execs from tier 1 companies who can not hack it and who have failed in the micro cap space. They lead a sheltered existence in an organisations such as Shell, BG or BP. Some are found out early in terms of competence, some turn to the dark side, and some flounder without the multi-national support. Lets see if these guys can walk the walk. | gsg
17/6/2021 16:49 | SI, it's not a question of being possible. It is normal practice and happens every day. I've also been involved in this game for a long time. I'm invested here on the basis of delivery. So far the directors have delivered on taking over a failing company and doing the deal for Buffalo which offers great potential. However the first commercial deadline they announced was the drill rig contract would be announced within 4 to 6 weeks from the 30 April. We are now in the 7th week from that date and they have not delivered, on their first meaningful deadline. ie they have failed to deliver at a very early stage. Just saying! | gsg
16/6/2021 15:19 | GSG I agree that with some companies your view is possible. As I mentioned before I had the opportunity to speak to Mark and Leslie and these are no nonsense professional guys that made it clear to me that they will only get RNSs out as and when required from a regulatory perspective, hence I think they are just finalizing matters with the JV partner and expect to see an RNS soon re rig. They are very transparent and as Leslie mentioned in the latest interview they are looking at the other deals they brought with them and a couple additional ones of interest which crossed their desk since taking over ADV, so I have no doubts in my mind that the rest of the year and beyond will be very interesting for ADV. | shareinvestment1
16/6/2021 14:16 | Maybe I've become a cynic but I've seen this hundreds of times before. Perhaps they're letting the placing churn finally wash through before putting the announcement out re the rig contract. There's no point in putting out news for a seller to sell into the resulting volume. L2 currently 2 v 2. | gsg
16/6/2021 08:24 | The Buffalo B10 prospect with a potential 40000 BOPD on the back of a rising barrel oil price going towards $100, is a company maker. | steephill cove
16/6/2021 08:21 | ADV would be very wise to get B10 spudded quickly. Certainly in Q3, which we are only 15 days away from. | steephill cove
16/6/2021 08:21 | PIs it is time to take a position... | steephill cove
16/6/2021 08:10 | Massive oil draw Oil Prices Climb On Huge Inventory Draw By Julianne Geiger - Jun 15, 2021, 3:46 PM CDT The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported a draw in crude oil inventories of 8.537-million barrels for the week ending June 11. Analysts had predicted a much smaller draw of 3.290 million barrels for the week. In the previous week, the API reported a draw in oil inventories of 2.108 million barrels after analysts had predicted a draw of 2.036 million barrels. Crude oil inventories have fallen by more than 22 million barrels since the start of 2021, according to API data, but are still up 34 million barrels since January 2020. | steephill cove
15/6/2021 14:58 | Ok, thanks homebrewruss, that clears things up. | on target
15/6/2021 14:36 | They are going for 70% of gross cumulative cash flow in the first 2 years, see recent presentation. If you look at the CPR (post 168) you will see that there is increasingly high water cut over time. High production at the start which tails off and water cut increases. | homebrewruss
15/6/2021 13:43 | Something doesn't quite add up here. 34 million barrels 2C and they're talking about 40,000bopd production, which is just under 15 million barrels a year. So that's just over 2 years of production? | on target
15/6/2021 13:13 | Fully paid and ADV have surplus of cash at the moment | mynameiskhan
15/6/2021 13:07 | Are they fully paid up and funded for this well, or is another fundraising likely to be required? | on target
15/6/2021 11:46 | In the 30.4 Proactive interview Leslie Peterkin mentioned 4-6 weeks, so hopefully this or next week. Patience will reward us. | shareinvestment1
15/6/2021 08:57 | Isn't the Buffalo drill rig contract announcement with Petrofac overdue? | gsg
15/6/2021 08:47 | Plenty of buying with a 500,000 at 2.5. I bought a few this morning and think that anything below 3p is a bargain as in my opinion this has the potential to be 10p by December. Time will tell. | shareinvestment1
15/6/2021 08:28 | firming up a little gla | purple11 |
