AYLINGD, the "ahead of current market expectations" trading update was on 11th February, so I'd assume the prelims will be reasonably soon, but there's no date or investor calendar on the ADF web site.

And another major studio expansion plan just announced...this time at Leavesden by Warner Brothers, with "the construction of 11 sound stages, four production buildings, and three workshops":



Extracts:

"Warner Bros has submitted official plans to expand its studios in Leavesden to cope with an "increasing global demand for high quality film and television content".

"The company also wants to make a backlot used for outdoor filming permanent and says the proposal has been driven by the "need" for additional studio facilities."

"At a time when the UK film and TV industry is flourishing, demand for quality production space has never been greater."

News yesterday of yet more work building another huge film studio, this time at Shinfield Studios near Reading:



"UK Hollywood film studio near Reading enters next construction phase
Published 19 hours ago

Work has begun on another five sound stages at a new state-of-the-art film and TV studio complex.

Once completed Shinfield Studios will comprise 18 sound stages, creating an 85,000 sq m (914,932 sq ft) media hub.

The film and TV studios at Thames Valley Science Park, near Reading, is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2024.

The film company said four sound stages have already been built, following accelerated planning permission.....

....The company, part of Blackhall Global Partners, previously said it expects the hub to generate around £600m a year for the UK economy."

It is highly likely the next update will be stellar given their previous one pointed to great visibility and strength going forward - perhaps there will be an acquisition at some point that will propel things further still.

Hollywood’s Sunset Studios is moving ahead with its plans to pump around £700m in a new film studio in Waltham Cross, a project that should generate around 4,500 jobs and create the largest film studio in Europe.

The Hollywood giant has submitted a range of plans and proposals to the local council, after holding a consultation last autumn.

The new complex, which will be located close to the M25, is designed with “this century and the next” in mind, according to the developers’ plans."

News from last week of another large new production facility which I'd never even heard of before:



"Winnersh Film Studios: Approved plan to bring up to 1,000 new jobs
13 March 2022"

Extract:

"The site includes two sound stage buildings and four workshops at one part of the site at the Winnersh Triangle Business Park and four workshops at another.

About 250 direct and 250 indirect jobs will be created at the studios in the short-term. The same number will be expected to be created by the studios in the long-term, Stage Fifty said.

The company also owns Farnborough Film Studios in Hampshire."

Yes John, if we had a crystal ball and could see into the future, we could have invested in different things at end Feb and done better.

If you want to say something constructive, thats of course fine. Criticise a thesis, correct a point.

But to say someone is obsessed...well...we're all obsessed!
