11/5/2015 20:17 | canalet3 - I can't think of a negative reason for Ron buying part of AEG (around £1.9m worth). He already owns 10% of KAQUO and £1.9m for around another 2.5% (5% of AEG’s 45%) hardly seems worthwhile unless he expects multiples of that from his AEG investment. I don’t see the Ukraine business being the reason, and the pelleting side has not done anything so far although I recognise that there might be some future profits to be made there if all goes well. I wonder if other native people groups have been in touch with AEG about doing the same sort of deal as KAQUO? I could see that being potentially huge. I agree with you that Ron is no mug when it comes to business so the chances are good that he knows what he is doing. Another aspect of his buy is that it has been done on the market so our Mr Spinks obviously not keen on churning out more shares. To get that many shares he must have cleared out a lot of sellers who might otherwise have sold on good news. I am struggling to see a downside tbh. Looks like our Mr Spinks is in for a busy 2015 ;-) | marab
11/5/2015 19:27 | marab this must be an extremely encouraging sign ! in fact what could be better than this wealthy man showing that he knows what the outcome is likely to be ? | canalet3

11/5/2015 17:18 | Ronald M Derrickson now owns nearly 5% of the company. I wonder why the Grand Chief is buying part of AEG when he already owns 10% of KAQUO. | marab

28/4/2015 04:26 | Just spotted that AEG are hosting a site visit to their Ukrainian facilities on Friday 15th May to coincide with the New Ukraine Investment Conference. It's mentioned in the latest News item on the AEG website that Cottoner pointed us at. I'm thinking of attending the conference and going on the site visit. Is anyone else planning on doing so? If yes, maybe post to this board and we can try to arrange a shareholder get-together? I'm impressed that AEG and Richard Spinks are so well thought-of in Ukraine - if things go to plan (and they hint at some future projects in the news item) we're in for some exciting times ahead! | deaconblue1
27/4/2015 18:51 | New update on website A must read. Includes “Active Energy Group Plc has experienced 300% growth in our Ukrainian business over the last 12 months, despite the situation in the east of the country. That growth has enabled us to expand our product offering, create local employment, and invest in new equipment at our port-side facilities in Odessa to satisfy the ever-increasing demand from Turkey and other European countries”. | cottoner
26/4/2015 22:49 | Link now on AEG wesbite AEG to appear at the New Ukraine Investment Conference 13 – 15 May, 2015. RS to be one of the speakers. | cottoner
26/4/2015 14:44 | Lots of news to come: Only a few days left in April when RS recently said there would be an update on the game-changing biomass pelleting technology. The new high-volume softwood chipping machinery scheduled to be operational in May 2015, will work alongside AEG's existing hardwood chipping facilities - which include modern log loaders and ancillary equipment - to more than double the Group's total Ukrainian production capacity. The KAQUO investigation could be concluded at any time. | cottoner
