12/2/2015 07:06 | ukraine deal good for aeg | pranchalee
10/2/2015 15:56 | Solooiler - Oil, gas, timber, diamonds, agriculture, and power generation were all mentioned but I liked the suggestion that they used some of the cash coming in to buy more land and mineral rights which were currently at depressed prices. I don’t think anyone should do a summary but should wade through the 6 hours of video which are, at the very least, inspiring. It’s difficult to imagine how big this could get if the first project runs to plan. I sent a quick email to RS saying how much I enjoyed the videos and had a reply back literally within two minutes. When does that man sleep? | marab
10/2/2015 10:34 | thanks deaconblue and opaldouglas :0). good spots. I read through opals excellent reserch again and he put aeg on 7x4m ebitda and 10% forestry value of £14.8m. At the current share price we are on the ebitda factor by itself :0| with no pelleting or forestry. Looks like the forestry buyers are driving a hard bargain so maybe £14.8m is 25%. And say pelleting is £0.5m :0) and ebitda may be higher if more contracts? Then entire value is 28m + 59.2m + 0.5m = 87.7m :0). discount 50% and 44m :0). Could have made a good article about the videos. Anyone want to write all the interesting points in a post :0)? | solooiler
10/2/2015 09:05 | Great videos, really enjoyed watching them. Things do indeed look very exciting. Sider King docked in Northern Italy this morning, first time AEG have delivered this far up in Italy, might be something to watch out for. OD | opaldouglas
10/2/2015 05:33 | For an excellent background to the position of the Canadian Metis aboriginal peoples and the laws pertaining to their land rights, I strongly suggest that you watch Video09 from Gerald Cunningham, Chairman of East Prairie Metis Settlement at It certainly filled in a lot of gaps for this shareholder, and made me even more confident of KAQUO's success. | deaconblue1
09/2/2015 21:39 | cottoner - totally agree with you that there are other opportunities which I believe RS has mentioned before. I think the intention is to go well beyond the Metis though and, if all goes to plan, I would expect other groups to join in. Given the choice between large companies that screw you over or a partnership with AEG that will find you the cash and know how to work your own resources, which option will look the most promising? I think AEG has huge potential both in Canada and beyond. | marab
09/2/2015 21:32 | Interesting watching the videos that what is apparent is that the forestry project is only the start of things to come. If the forestry project is successfully progressed then further projects spoken about include AEG/KAQUO raising investment money for oil/gas exploration projects which may be viable for some of the areas covered by the Métis Settlements. | cottoner
09/2/2015 20:54 | cottoner - those videos are well worth watching and Spinks comes across very well in video 3. We were told that the profit margin was about $20 a tonne at the end of the year, but AEG were paying $5 a tonne under their finance agreement and that drops to $1 a tonne from the beginning of next month so that $26 is probably correct. | marab
09/2/2015 19:17 | very interesting cottoner :0). kronospan and camsan entegre are increasing in Turkey too. I am sure many will not be customers of AEG but all looks good. Demand for wood chip isnt shrinking! | solooiler
09/2/2015 18:27 | The AEG videos of the Canadian Summit online in the News section of their website at www.active-energy.co The presentation includes slides , one shows that in 201 AEG will have produced 280,000 tonnes of product , in 2015 it will produce 706,000 tonnes , an increase of 426,000 tonnes, an increase of 152%. Another slide also shows the gross margins (US$/m3) , in 2014 AEG were making 6.66 cents per tonne, from end of 2014 now making 26 dollars a tonne. | cottoner
09/2/2015 18:00 | On Feb 10th 2014 AEG announced : Firstly, the Group has won another new contract to supply its high-grade MDF-quality wood chip to Kastamonu Entegre A.S., one of Turkey's leading MDF manufacturers. This follows the announcement on 13 January 2014 of two other supply contract wins with major Turkish MDF manufacturers. Some recent news wrt Kastamou Entegre Kastamonu plans to build second wood-based panel plant in Russia February 04, 2015 The Turkish Kastamonu Entegre, one of the world's largest producers of wood-based panels, expressed its intention to open the company's second plant in Russia. In this respect, Kastamonu’s board member Aktyurk Yyldyrym and Kaluga Region Governor Anatoly Artamonov signed an agreement of intent. According to the document this investment project – a wood-based panel plant – is to be implemented in the SEZ (special economic zone) "Lyudinovo." "The signed agreement emphasizes the company’s determination to expand its business presence in Russia, - pointed out the Kastamonu’s vice president Onur Guven. - SEZ "Lyudinovo" wasn’t chosen by chance. It was chosen for its geographical and logistical features and existing experience of work in the SEZ. The zone has all the necessary favorable infrastructural and economic conditions for the implementation of a new investment wood board project," he added. Construction of the new plant in the SEZ "Lyudinovo" is to be carried out using a scheme similar to that of already opened by Kastamonu in "Alabuga" - in several stages. In terms of production and range of products, both plants will also be comparable. The first plant constructed by Kastamonu was already launched. At the moment the plant produces 475 thousand m3 of MDF and 20 million m2 of wooden flooring per year. The investments amount came up to $300 million. The second stage planned for 2016 implies the start-up of a wood chipboard production with annual capacity 725 thousand m3, and an OSB production start-up with 500 thousand m3 produced per year in 2017-2018. Russia will be the only country where Kastamonu will have two powerful facilities outside of Turkey. | cottoner

09/2/2015 10:32 | Just beat me to it - now watching the videos. | cottoner
09/2/2015 10:30 | Well, true to their word, AEG have just released the videos of the Canadian Summit online in the News section of their website at www.active-energy.co They're well worth a listen - they convinced this shareholder that the Alberta government 'enquiry' is nothing to be concerned about, and - even more importantly - that the joint venture partners are right behind the project and are investing an enormous amount of effort into making it work. Now off to buy... | deaconblue1

06/2/2015 08:48 | Good news for AEG, not so good for the Ukraine. ‘Ukraine&rsquo The central bank earlier Thursday increased its key rate to 19.5% from 14% and ended foreign-currency auctions that had effectively acted as a peg for the exchange rate.’ | marab
05/2/2015 19:46 | As a reminder , On Jan 30th, Richard Spinks said that the KAQUO Métis Settlements Economic Development Summit, held in Edmonton Canada on 27 January 2015, was filmed and that the film would be put on AEG's website in about 10 days time. He said that shareholders would then be able to make up their own minds , on viewing the film the general feeling about the project from those who attended the summit. So, the film should be on AEG's website within the next week. | cottoner
05/2/2015 17:47 | Huge 50k buy showing after hours at 5.6p. No wonder the dp held firm amongst the sells. More confidence here each day, I would wager new buyers tomorrow when they see that buy | guyswonga74
05/2/2015 14:29 | Holding for with bid creeping up. Buys on isdx. So primed for pelleting news and forest contract. Great short to mid term hold and still way undervalued | guyswonga74
04/2/2015 18:09 | best buy on aim | pranchalee
04/2/2015 16:33 | Just turned my monitor on, nice to see some volume. Marab - I'll add pro's & cons to header a little later on. DrMaccers - just sit back and await the news, medium/long term investors should be well rewarded if AEG can hit its targets this year. OD | opaldouglas |
