24/2/2015 10:44 | Many thanks for that useful article, cottoner. Having listened to some of the videoed sessions with Richard Spinks and the Metis, one quality came through above all others, summed up in the word "trust". Grand Chief Ronald Derrickson sought out Richard in the first place because of what he had done for communities in western Ukraine, and he felt he could trust him. And trust was plainly something that the Grand Chief did not lightly give: his own contributions at that meeting are full of his distrust especially for Canadian authorities. So well done Richard in winning and maintaining Metis trust. Another point that came across is that projects with the Metis may well not be limited to forestry. The very name FNRDC specifies Natural Resources....a pretty broad term. Lots to look forward to here. | mikkydhu
23/2/2015 23:13 | Three Métis Settlements launch new groundbreaking joint venture An article summarising last month's summit in Canada. From the article "Richard Spinks, President and CEO of the KAQUO FNRDC and CEO of Active Energy Group Plc’s Commercial division, is also a polished speaker and presenter with a flair for business and a track record of creating prosperity. Introduced as the Summit’s first keynote speaker, Iner Gauthier, Chairman of the Peavine Métis Settlement, referred to Spinks, as “a phenomenal gentleman” who has “worked wonders all over the world on our behalf, raising money and running our business, trying to get it off the ground.” "Active Energy is involved in two main businesses, power generation (Biomass Wood Chip for BFE Power Generation) and collecting and shipping both hardwood chips and softwood that is shipped to Turkey to supply the MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) industry. “We are now the largest supplier,” added Spinks, who noted that none of the wood being used in any of the projects is useable saw wood, but instead wood chips and the leftovers after the good trees have been harvested. Active Energy, he said “doesn’t trade, we manufacture, we use our wood chips.” Utilizing its own technology, the company also produces fuel from saw dust and logging waste. In 2013 Active Energy produced 67,000 tons of chips , a figure that rose to 280,000 tons a year later; 2015 is expected to see the company produce in excess of 700,000 tons." | cottoner

20/2/2015 13:09 | Ultimately the share price will depend upon the results and future prospects of AEG and the performance of its management and the more I hear and read about Richard Spinks the more confident I become. | cottoner
20/2/2015 13:07 | No worries guys, everyone is welcome. Lets just try and keep all things on track about AEG (good & bad). Trading is all part of investing, each to their own. Just be a shame to fill up the thread with non AEG info when we're had some really useful posts and discussions here recently. OD | opaldouglas

20/2/2015 12:58 | opal It's almost pathetic flops trades he is the weakest trader I've seen. He sells small lots the same time so the 2 lots of 5000 sales will be his. He will never make any money in this game because he plays with small amounts and does not hold to turn them into large amounts. | 21trader
20/2/2015 12:33 | If thats the case they should have got in 12 months ago ;) The thread seems fairly balanced at this point with some great contributions, lets hope it stays that way. OD | opaldouglas
