11/1/2002 16:27 | The stock has completed a double bottom formation at 102/3 level, and has just this PM, leaped to 107-10. The double bottm suggests we could have takeoff to 120-130 next week, though it may be quite gradual. I think we are on a huge winner here. Note today I got my dividend cheque ... imagine the price before the next div is due. I've already made a cap gain sufficient for my summer hols on this stock since mid November . | ![]() hectorp
07/1/2002 22:33 | I hope so, I got in today at 106.5p. Better late than never. | ![]() 2wild

05/1/2002 16:25 | Hi Airrage, I may not be here long, we'll see. did you notice - John Lee , again mentioned the stock in today's FT. He reiterates his choice of the year ( this stock) and a few others. H. | ![]() hectorp
05/1/2002 16:20 | Nice to have someone to talk to finally on this board. | airrage
04/1/2002 17:10 | Robcoo - well done Mr Lee! ( don't thank me I don't 'tip'). You are already up 15-16% since your post of 1st jan. This is a no-brainer for 120 . Apparently the support is 103. If it gets beyond this 120-125 in a few weeks. | ![]() hectorp
01/1/2002 09:05 | You (and Mr. Lee) have persuaded me. Have bought 11,000 odd shares yesterday at 88p. | ![]() robcoo
31/12/2001 13:37 | Well posted, the John Lee tip of the year, the stock is tightly held and a few buys and up it goes 12% today so far. My target is 120p by the Spring but I won't be selling then: I want the contunuing 7% yield. The stock's an income play. | ![]() hectorp
31/12/2001 13:20 | Looks like a couple of very big lurkers. WOW. nice jump today. Still a very undiscovered stock, should be over 100P soon enough. | airrage

29/12/2001 00:01 | Yet another Jeweller reporting strong XMAS trading, TFL. It is important to mention that both Theo Fennell and Signet both trade at a PE of 14 compared to ACR's PE of 7. Christmas trade sparkles for Theo Fennell By Matthew Browne Fri 28 Dec 2001 LONDON (SHARECAST) - Christmas trading has been "encouraging" according to designer jewellers Theo Fennell, as it reported narrowing losses for the six months ended September. TFL - Theo Fennell The company posted a loss of £115,327 in the first half, down from £143,351 in the period a year ago. Revenues were flat at £4.9m. The company said: "So far Christmas trading has been encouraging." Its new store opened in November in London was trading well. A fuller statement on Christmas trading is promised for January. Yesterday fellow jeweller Goldsmiths said like-for-like sales in the four-week period leading up to Christmas were up 9.5%. In the year to December 2001, sales were up 13.1% overall and 9.9% on a like-for-like basis. Analysts hope strong Christmas trading will help push the company into profit this year. Earnings are expected to be £350,000 this year rising to £550,000 in 2003, according to house broker Seymour Pierce. Shares in the company were unchanged at 30.5p, valuing the company at £4.9m or 14 times forecast earnings. | airrage
27/12/2001 14:29 | Bought some more today. XMAS seemed to be good for most retailers, especially jewellers. January statement should be good. Meanwhile ACR trades below book value, has 3.8mill cash, 6%div, sells at only 30% of annual sales, and has a 2002 PE of only 7. The recent computer problems will fade and the assoc costs and we can look forward to return to a growing profitable firm. | airrage
15/12/2001 11:03 | This one is due to push north, next stop 100P. | airrage
11/12/2001 12:18 | Hectorp, least I'm still here. But then the time to buy these shares are when there are no other posters. | airrage
10/12/2001 10:19 | Abbeycrest is a no-brainer for better results next time, plus the bedding in of the computer system will have been completed before that, leading to synergies of cost reduction combined with likley upswing in the wedding rings sales. Bought some last week. Target a modest 120p later next year for an easy 30% gain ( held on my core folio of non-volatile investments) | ![]() hectorp
03/12/2001 14:07 | prospective P/E in fact down at 5.7p, even better , the company is losing Finance Director ( announced a month ago) but its all above board, he's been seeking a better post and has found one, and will continue until his replacement is found. This stock is very quiet on the BB's but is a lovely money spinner. i'm inclined to buy a few thousand, now 86p. its not the kind of stock I normally buy, but its good from point of view of diversifying my folio. 26/11/2001 22:15 | bought today at 83.5P mkt cap 25mill div 7.4% (more than twice covered) PE = 6.8 Price/Sales 0.3 Price/Book 0.9 2002 EPS 16P 2003 EPS 19P growth rate 18.75% Recent fall overdone. Bedding in of new system will bring efficiencies once teething over. XMAS trade coming and will be followed by January statement. Recent takeover of wedding ring maker only starting to shine. Nice T-trade for 50,000 shares at end of day(not my holding). | airrage |
