My apologies I meant they sold millions in value £5M approach x)not millions in shares, the sells are listed on the hl.co.uk web site, I will correct my posts accordingly

Still it’s clear investors have sold the news, this is a growth story, high PE stocks are getting slammed, this correction will either end at 2080p or 1600p area, time will tell.

Some are holding long time from very low levels, sub 500p, some have top sliced, some will trade the pull backs, it’s what makes the market. I don’t fall in love with many stocks for too long, I don’t trade on emotions

GL with your long term investment

ADVFN often get buys and sells wrong as they assume one or the other from the bargain relationship to the spread.

NY Boy I've been monitoring your posts here and on other BBs and I have come to the conlusion which heloob is too polite to say: You are a real BSer who is just trying to take advantage of people's emotions.

You have already been corrected by EC that the directors didn't sell millions as you keep lying about again and again but yet you still insist on saying it. Anyone who has followed ABDP for years know how the directors operate here.

I have been invested in ABDP since 2016 and have no intention on selling just because AHoles like you want to use it for trading. Fine by me but can you do us all a favour and stop coming out with BS all the time to suit your agenda.

What management has mentioned is not a surprise and if you knew the automotive industry you'd already know that info anyway.

Many thanks

Yes I bought some today but I am cautious after doing further due diligence, I might have bought too early, there has been a lot of selling on the news. Some months ago I suggested this could pull back to 1600 area, 2090p support needs to hold. The trouble is the share price has been priced to perfection, so any negative news, can cause a big correction.

Why did the Chairman and other Directors sell £5 million approx worth of shares between £26-27.50p and only 3 weeks later announce results were going to be ahead of expectations?

Still I did sell before the results on a trade from 2200, so can’t complain too much.

Nyboy - am confused. On Immupharma board today you posted “Bought (ABDP) after a 25% pull back, solid Company imo”. So which is it? You like or you don’t?

I don’t have much faith in most public companies these days, economical with the truth one might suggest. Certainly a lot of selling underway, PE is ridiculous and growth is not in question, poor div return.

Reasons to be cautious here imo

good grief. Anyone who does not know that the automotive sector is finding the going a bit tough must have been living on an island in the middle of nowhere for the last year. To claim ABDP kept a secret is laughable. Short term investors blow with the wind.

Not surprised investors are checking out, credibility issues here imo

Between 04-09 September

Chairman & Directors sell £5 million approx. worth of shares between them around £26/27.50

Oct 03

Market conditions remain favourable, driven by significant structural and regulatory tailwinds.

Oct 27

Whilst we remain optimistic about our prospects and the Group's future, we do remain alert to the continued difficulties faced by many of our customers selling into the global automotive market.

Why sell millions of shares at the highs, then 3 weeks later announce results to exceed market expectations, then 6 weeks later results mention difficulties in the sector, why not tell the market this on 02 Oct? This information would surely have been known for a while, you wonder if the huge board sells in September were because of these difficulties.

Mis leading market information imo

Too much damage done here, I am not investing any further.

I was getting concerned that I was overweight ABDP, so at least that problem has been solved for me.

Agree with EC. Directors have plenty of skin in the game with their options.

To my untrained eye, it seems to have dropped back on to its rising trend line. This MIGHT mean it will continue its rise from here. But in my experience, charts work best after the event, ie., with a healthy dollop of hindsight, and are not always great predictors.

(not currently holding this, looking for an entry point)

Az what price did you buy in? Mate I bought on at previous peak too pretty much. I'm long term though. They will be around for years to come and the price will go up eventually even if the day trader's are making it erratic now. Don't worry mate.

Sorry Az please talk to someone if you are feeling that bad and maybe just stop trading on the stock market. If it is causing that much pain it's not worth it

No directors sold millions of shares in September. The largest disposal was by Tony Best (and his wife), who sold 130,000 between them. Given he is 76 and still owns 26.63% of the company, I don't think that we can complain too much about that.

I would not expect director buys. They all have interests through unexpired in-the-money options.

You might think the Directors that sold £5 million worth of shares @ £27.50p a share, back in September, might want to buy them back here, especially as they are reporting how good the results were. Ie. Put yer money where yer mouth is!

It would be a worry if there are no new director buys soon!

Positive piece in FT on ABDP at weekend may attract more attention, a few points below.

Its largest customer represents no more than 6 per cent of revenues and it has an international outlook. The UK accounts for less than 5 per cent of sales.

The auto-industry is being overtaken by what some engineers dub “vision zero — zero emissions, zero accidents and zero stress”. ABD pointed out how stressful this vision is for the market. It would take 54 years of using 500 cars for 24 hours a day to verify autonomous driving technology, it said. Clearly ABD intends to be there to do the verifying.

there is little evidence of a slowdown in research into autonomous vehicles and their development. ABD’s operating profits are still forecast to grow by nearly a third next year. But other, much cheaper, smart engineers are developing simulators, driving robots and testing equipment. The larger Spectris, for example, has moved into simulators and owns vehicle testing grounds. However, the smaller ABD is growing faster and far more profitably.

there are gaps in the group’s portfolio of products, knowhow and locations, which Mr Louth intends to plug by acquisition. So far ABD’s record in lane-keeping has been exemplary.
