11/11/2021 23:41 | Wish they would get the money raising done. Not sure why they have sat on their hands and watched the shares slide. | its the oxman
10/11/2021 13:56 | Hoping for a takeover £5+ | mvp1689
10/11/2021 13:53 | Rights issue overhang for me. | dandigirl
10/11/2021 13:34 | Quiet here for 7 days while share price is slipping. Views anyone? | shaker44
03/11/2021 10:34 | As previously commented FLTR reduced their earnings forecast both in the US and ex US partly due to adverse bookie results in October. The whole sector is being affected by their news | mip55
03/11/2021 10:24 | Sector free fall! 888 making huge advances in USA. Am I missing something??? | squrrel999
02/11/2021 11:11 | Yep. Maybe dragged down behind flutter. Looking like a buy | shaker44
02/11/2021 11:11 | Flutter results. | deanowls
02/11/2021 10:54 | Bit low isn't it today? | bulltradept
31/10/2021 18:45 | Some great comments here. Feel like the share price isn't quite reflecting the positive activity taking place especially with Sports Illustrated onboar, see below article. Everyone has own opinion but unless something fundamentally wrong that we're not seeing, feels like a matter of time for either for a bid or to see the share price improve. May just require some patience here, in my opinion anyway. Good luck. www.profootballnetwo | winston81
26/10/2021 14:16 | Added to my long term holding on the drop but could only get £3.77 not sure the offer ever made it as low as it seemed to go. IMO Draftkings will now take 888 out but its just a guess. Two more future dip opportunities left to add (1) govt reforming gambling act and (2) placing to fund WMH ex US and i’ll be adding on both occasions. With a 2-3 year view and some patience this is a very compelling hold. | rimau1
26/10/2021 13:26 | Now Draftkings' acquisition of Entain is off, perhaps we will become the next target. If you have access, Investec's overview of the gambling sector is excellent and 888 is marked out as the best investment opportunity by some margin. | doctor888
26/10/2021 13:24 | No bid premium? | shaker44
26/10/2021 12:26 | Firstly thanks Winston for posting two interesting links. My thoughts on the DCF is that 5.8% WACC is too low and if you ran it again on a more realistic 7% - 9% you would get a dramatically lower valuation. Also their approach to estimating earnings appears purely mathematical which is fair enough, but 888's earnings could be extremely volatile in the coming years as UK regulation comes in 2022 balanced by the opportunity in the USA. So in short it strikes me as a nice piece of maths but lacking in insight The rational behind the Peel Hunt target of £7.50 is not explained but could only come from a read across from other M & A activity. I'd be astonished yet delighted if that turned out to be the case. I think we go sideways until the WH deal is done and the UK legislation is clear and its impact assessed. Alongside that I would be looking at how quickly the German numbers improve post regulation as that could be a predictor for the UK market (online at least) | makinbuks
25/10/2021 18:14 | Seems to be market sentiment having impact at the moment but plenty of positive views on 888 still floating about. May have to ride out the storm in the interim Thoughts anyone? www.directorstalkint | winston81
18/10/2021 12:01 | Just an expected boost from the PTEC news, will rise further tomorrow if something happens between ENT/MGM/DKN. Very few mid size gambling tech firms remain so its only logical that 888 maintains a decent bid premium at least until the WMH transaction concludes | rimau1
18/10/2021 08:56 | Something big going on in background… RNS tomorrow | squrrel999
18/10/2021 07:51 | Now PTEC is out of the game, how long before 888.....? | bulltradept
14/10/2021 12:42 | Well done to those who took profits. I did not expect the price to fall so much, but buyers are stepping in at the 0.786 level and 20-week SMA. Looking forward to the next TU. | doctor888
14/10/2021 12:16 | Also there's a nasty UK regulatory review coming up in December so the negatives may outweigh the positives for some time here | makinbuks
12/10/2021 13:36 | Agree with all the comments here. Personally i think we may drift lower as external macro market risk and well flagged results with associated headwinds (Germany, tough comparatives, equity raise) may keep a lid on the price. I will gradually drip feed top ups, saying that if Entain gets snapped up it would light a fuse under the bonnet as a last man standing scenario. I still believe the WMH transaction was delivered to defend against a hostile bid. | rimau1
11/10/2021 22:22 | Yes funding raise hanging over 888 for now but I think it will be well received when it comes so probably not much downside risk from 400p. | its the oxman
11/10/2021 11:38 | Certainly holding me back but good to see price drop ( he said selfishly) | gswredland
11/10/2021 10:05 | Surely it makes sense to get equity raise done and dusted. Get it away around current levels then onwards and upwards. Otherwise may hold buyers back. | its the oxman
11/10/2021 08:37 | I doubt there will be anything about an equity raising next week. The WH acquisition announcement was very bullish in terms of earnings impact so I'd expect that they'll try to hold off with raising equity til the share price begins with a 5. The risk in that approach would be if leverage began to cause problems however with interest rates where they are, 888 are probably fine for a considerable period (I havent looked at the maturity of their banking facilities though). Assuming those maturities arent near term, they can use operational cashflows in the interims to reduce debt, which obviously helps with the equity raising too. Like some above, I'd previously though that I'd sell around 450, however I believe that the WH acquisition provides another leg of growth and whilst I get the 'you never went broke banking a profit' adage, there's also 'run your winners'. In my view, 888 generates exceptional ROCE and is finding ways to deploy those returns, and therefore I'll continue to hold for next couple years whilst the WH plays out | adamb1978 |
