11/9/2023 16:56 | Some idiot analyst says Tesla worth an extra 500Bn - more about Robotaxis. We've seen what happens to Robotaxis. Kids put a traffic cone in front of them and that's "Finito Benito" LOL LOL | hosede
25/8/2023 09:47 | “Gary I think having the capacity to build far more cars than it can sell wuill prove much more of a problem than any patent disputes” If the patient stops Tesla from developing the “Dry Cell Electrode” and the technology falls into rival hands, he might not be building more cars ect The EV world are watching this case ! | garybrandon
24/8/2023 20:10 | On the contrary I look forward to it. Anyway I don't suppose you noticed but 59,000 sq miles of Canadian forest burned this Summer - that's more than the area of Scotland and Ireland combined! Electric cars - great - but we needed them 100 years ago. Water vapour us now the main Greenhouse gas . Every one degree C rise in temperature increases the amount in the atmoshere by 7%, so The main cause of global warming is now Global warming . You may find this chart interesting | hosede
24/8/2023 19:51 | I think you need to consult a shrink. Deep deep depression! | dominiccummings
24/8/2023 18:48 | Dominc Read Lief's post 10325. And how long do you think the US will last - in its current state? I only give the 2024 elections a 50% or so chance of happening | hosede
24/8/2023 15:58 | You have been saying as much for years now hosede. It ain't going to happen. | dominiccummings

23/8/2023 15:52 | I’ve a feeling the patent infringement case involving Maxwell Tech being sued by Cap-xx (4 yrs and counting) counter suing by Tesla (July this year) is having an effect, more than ppl realise considering Cap-xx are a £12m cap, could make it up but true, as I understand it, it involves the dry cell electrode that’s been delayed, is this the real reason? | garybrandon

18/8/2023 19:04 | What are we to think? I have no idea, Meanwhile this chart suggests that water vapour rather then CO2 is now the worst greenhouse gas - why were the changes a few hundred million years ago so steep? NB 1 degree change in temeperature allows 7% more water vapour to exist in the atmosphere | hosede
17/8/2023 05:22 | I think he bought the wrong company seeing Cap-xx say they hold the patent hence 4 year court case ! IMO Same court same judge, CPX have defended 2 similar cases and won ! | garybrandon
14/8/2023 10:12 | “CPX patent infringement has been put back to December due to death of an expert witness for Maxwell. Also by going after Tesla, Maxwell will be infringing on two of Tesla's patents (Tesla has open sourced it's patents on condition of no bad faith with Tesla).” Google was on the receiving end of a verdict an order of magnitude greater a few days ago when a jury in the Western District of Texas (under Judge Albright) found that its Chromecast product violated Touchstream Technologies’ patent rights with its remote-streaming technology and must pay $339M in damages. Ironically, the patents being asserted did not even originate from Tesla but came from its acquisition of Maxwell. The automaker says that Cap XX cannot be protected by its pledge because Cap XX itself sued Maxwell back… in 2019. If this feels a lot like splitting hair to you, you are not the only one. The Cap-xx lawsuit against Maxwell has its hearing in December, | garybrandon
13/8/2023 11:39 | Last I heard on the dry cell battery technology was back in April 2023. Tesla were trying out iterations 5 & 6 at different GigaFactories to see what the battery yield would be. The biggest concern at the time was dust from the process working its way back into the machinery. CPX patent infringement has been put back to December due to death of an expert witness for Maxwell. Also by going after Tesla, Maxwell will be infringing on two of Tesla's patents (Tesla has open sourced it's patents on condition of no bad faith with Tesla). Tesla have given details of how they are intending to produce their $25k car here (46 minutes into the video): I would bet these changes also facilitate Tesla's "Optimus" robot working on the production line. Most journey have 1 or 2 people in the car. According to the RAC, 68% of car journeys are used for commuting to work. It's no surprise that smaller vehicles, being cheaper have a bigger market. With batteries making up a large percentage of the car's weight, a smaller car means less batteries; which is great when Tesla are and probably always will be constrained by the number of batteries they can produce. | cfb2
12/8/2023 07:30 | Talk of Giga Mexico breaking ground soon. Rumours of a $25,000 car in production in Q1 2025. Yes, it’s Musk, so take the above numbers with a pinch of salt (it’ll happen but prepared for later arrivals at a higher price). However, these are exactly the kind of things Tesla would do if it wanted to keep expanding demand into lower-priced segments of the market. If there were a $25k EV option available in the next 18-36 months, that destroys the ‘ICE is cheaper’ play from the ICE/fossil-fuel progress-redardation Those trolls will just have to pump out more misinformation about range, charger availability and the environmental impact of raw-material mining until each of those are addressed - likely in that order. | blusteradjuster

11/8/2023 09:01 | Tesla dry cell battery still not released, wonder if this court case involving Maxwell/ Tesla is the reason seeing CPX are going to vigorously defend their own patents ! | garybrandon

30/7/2023 11:29 | hosede: An interesting article. There is still so much to learn about all the feedback mechanisms, especially when they themselves change from the underlying temperature rise. | cfb2
29/7/2023 14:06 | cfb2 You might find this article - less than a week old- interesting | hosede
26/7/2023 10:43 | Could this be a big problem for Tesla - and any other FSD vehicles in authoritarian counties? And countries generally are becoming more authoritarian | hosede
24/7/2023 15:27 | Yes, SO2 reflects sunlight and sticks around longer than clouds. Something like Yellowstone park volcano going off would do wonders for bringing down the global temperature. Heat being concentrated in one area doesn't last long. Heat differential drives the jet streams. In fact the rise in heat around the Arctic has slowed down some jet streams resulting in them meandering around causing the current European heatwaves. | cfb2 |
