We at DEFI WORLD are big fans of Ethereum, but we believe that Polkadot is the most exciting project in space right now, with the potential to become as impactful as Ethereum. Whether this is true, however, is another question. The fact is: Polkadot should be on the screen of every crypto user.

I think George comments suggest they are looking at the problem with a view to exit should the new team fail to improve liquidity and access ,, todays announcement of x 2 stocks delisting might be the start of a continuing exodus

I don't disagree with any of the points except if it was that easy don't you think they would have done it by now? The obvious negatives are costs, time, audit complexity ...we now have regular income so cost is no longer an issue but I suspect there is more to this than those points.

A dual listing would be ideal if feasible on say NYSE or NASDAQ in the US & Main Market UK
Whatever !! They need to get off this Mickey Mouse exchange that been controlling the company,s destiny ,Its criminal to drop the share price from 18p to 11.5 with just a few hundred K traded an makes KR1 look amateur and toxic

Ofex has had more ‘faceliftsR17; than Donatella Versace, and as per the fashion designer, none of them has ever worked.

Visibility, liquidity and most crucial of all, credibility would improve no end moving to a recognized - and not derided - exchange.

Zak Mir explains the issues with NEX /Aquis from minute 13 ,link -

hxxps://www.share-talk.com/george-mcdonaugh-managing-director-and-co-founder-of-kr1-plc-interview/

The spread is obscene ,The MM,s absolutely trash the share price and a few £K of sell,s and only a small minority of brokers give access to this platform ,Its a Playschool for a very tiny minority and even George McD touched on the issue in last rns of -

KR1 is a public stock on London’s AQSE Growth Market (KR1: AQSE), which was previously the NEX Exchange. Aquis Exchange plc recently acquired NEX Exchange with the intention of making improvements to the exchange infrastructure in regards to electronic trading, higher volumes, deeper liquidity and allowing for a more global investor base. We are looking forward to seeing how the new Aquis Exchange team implements their plans for improving the legacy NEX Exchange over the months to come.
Last trade was 11.6 a sell of 48K , So the MM,s drop the share price 9% on a sale of miniscule proportions

Agreed Botak. I think KR1 will thrive with more liquidity and more attention from investors.

I remember Acquis going back to Nex, Plus Markets and OFEX, unfortunately it has never worked. Cannot see it working now. They might be better to offer it up as a set of local exchanges.

But KR1 needs volume and attention anything would be better. And it will be in all of our interests.

Waiting is time wasting.

The Comment -

Liquidity in the Ordinary Shares is extremely low, which reduces their attractiveness as an investment for all types of potential investor.

Gives the game away Slice I,m afraid
Aquis / NEX is a quagmire they need to climb out of soonest , Whether to AIM ,Main Market or a foreign alternative market ,KR1 share price is being valued & manipulated by a bunch of Clowns

These companies wouldn't survive on any exchange so not just acquis. I had some good dialogue with Aquis and think they have a plan, they understand the issues with mm not offering good spreads etc. Time will tell but as said before a move to aim will not be in the companies interests.

Hi Botak it is not looking good for Aquis. Not sure why we are hanging on. This exchange has never cut it.

We should be leading this. Time is right with projects / staking revs etc.

Aquis becoming a Grave Yard for stocks #
From this morning rns from VI Mining -

In reaching this conclusion, the Directors have considered the following key factors:

· There are considerable costs, management time and legal and regulatory burdens associated with maintaining the admission of the Ordinary Shares to the AQSE Growth Market. These are, in the Directors' opinion, disproportionate to the benefits to the Company; and

· Liquidity in the Ordinary Shares is extremely low, which reduces their attractiveness as an investment for all types of potential investor.

,Also European Mining moved off Aquis rns today

Nice podcast slicethepie, thanks for sharing :)

I was particularly pleased to hear GM talking about treasury management being the main focus at present, and utilising some of the Polkadot gains to invest in new projects - I'd be very happy indeed if they sold 25% of their tokens and banked around £4m to invest in next stage projects.

All in all, things are definitely moving in the right direction. I get the feeling that they are keen to remain below the radar for now (on Aquis), but will change this when the time is right. Comfortably the most interesting investment in my portfolio!

Iron
This train of thought was apparent in that podcast and the results rns ,Seems KR1 want to give the new Aquis hierarchy a chance to improve liquidity and access to trade before moving up or /+ a US Exchange to harvest the abundant $ that flows into the sector tech funds

Time to move up an exchange (or two).

Exiting for all concerned @ KR1
To replicate the sucsess of Cosmos X 60 ROI $6M + $500K staking revenue was I thought a mammoth task ,
However
GMcd on that podcast stated Polkadot X 20 ROI $20M with 12% staking revenue a cool $2.4 m on top !!!!
Zac Mir remark about * You actually know what your doing * was so apt
Thanks slice for that link

Hi all,

thanks for the replies Justintime & failedQS, very interesting. They need to get off AQSE.. Telephone buying for an illiquid stock is no use for price discovery.

They really should publish their holdings on the website as it's then very easy to see the valuation to NAV, and provide the data for investors, which leads to orders & the price rises..

I do have a holding and I think I'll increase, definitely a buy 7 hold.

EQi £10.99 a Trade ,Execution only ,Access to Aquis Markets + ISA umbrella for KR1

Crypto markets moving back to previous levels with BTC now @ $10632
As a matter of interest and for those not familiar with the KR1 Bandwagon, Have a read of this from Keld van Schreven,

Many of the Ethereum competitors are in the final stages of being built such as Polkadot, Dfinity, Tezos and Cosmos. These other chains exist because Ethereum hasn’t solved its scaling issues. They offer higher transactions throughput and interchain interoperability which Ethereum doesn’t. These blockchains are like expanding universes, each will have their own expansion and grow to vast economic sizes.

Most will expand to such sizes that are currently unimaginable. Perhaps trillions of dollars on some. Before you laugh at this, there is a migration of derivatives into digital assets and onto blockchains. Derivatives have a real world volume of $12 trillion.
