Leading Security Integration Company Recognized on Canada's Top IT List

RICHMOND HILL, ON, May 12 /CNW/ - Visual Defence Inc. (LSE: VDI), today
announced that they have been noted as one of the Top 250 Canadian Technology

The Branham300 highlights the top Canadian IT companies and has become

"Branham300 represents an intuitive insight in the Canadian information

extremely pleased to be included on this list".
"The problems facing IT security professionals are increasingly diverse,

on March 18.
"Visual Defence's unique approach to customizing security solutions for
its clients has been at the forefront of its business practice", says Tal.

Mm's bring this right back down; I guess with BUSH in the Middle East they are expecting something

The market is inefficient - which gives those of us with an eye for small cap stocks a chance to make hay before others catch on :o))

I'm hoping one or other of the share mags or tipsheets will notice this one. Once the share price is seen to be climbing there's often a snowball effect, with others getting the confidence to come aboard. With recent RNS's and the price starting to recover you'd have thought it'll only be a matter of time.

Looking at the share price you would think this was about to go under;

:o))

Good thinking about the Scandinavian link Dasein. I do like the fact that for a £9m m/cap company VDI have such a global reach. It means that the potential for growth - and share price outperformance - is huge given the worldwide demand for security and surveillance services.

Especially from such a standing start given that the m/cap is barely above net cash.

That Norwegian contract is a beauty, confirmation I imagine that the Stockholm implementation was a success, looks like the close ties with Axis are reaping nice rewards in Scandanavia

and my favourite bit : "The project is expected to expand over time, the company said"

Good point Riv about the digital over analogue, I agree VDI's "art of integration" is perfect for these organisations with expensive hardware already in place, and they now have a tried and tested "microsoft gold certified" solution

Maybe Boris will have a look at it ? ;-)

Decent coverage:

"Visual Defence bags two contracts
Mon 12 May 2008

LONDON (SHARECAST) - Video surveillance operator Visual Defence saw its shares surge Monday morning as it announced two new contract wins.

The company has won a contract worth C$0.87m from the Montreal Transit Corporation to integrate video analytics with the existing video surveillance system.

The second contract is for C$1.5m from the Norwegian State Railway corporation to provide a mobile video surveillance and recording solution for some 200 three-carriage trains. The project is expected to expand over time, the company said.

Both contracts commence from May.

The contract wins follow on from a partnership agreement announced at the end of April whereby Israeli IT company Taldor agreed to distribute and support Visual Defence's integrated security solutions in Israel.

The company said the partnership with Taldor would enable it to reduce its cost base while retaining a presence in the region."

VDI still has a m/cap of only £10m at 14.75p, yet it:

- has £7.5m of cash
- is profitable at the operating level
- has £14m annual turnover
- multi-year airport operation contract income going forward
- has its own extensive IP
- and global potential in the growth security and surveillance markets

This could be a very, very big winner imho if the management are up to it. The technology certainly seems to be attractive. Hopefully I'm not being over-optimistic, but things seem to be stacking up nicely.

Not bad at all...$2.4m of contracts in just one RNS, with the promise of much more - and the second contract is in Norway, so yet more international expansion.

I should know more about this, but isn't the implementation of digital over analogue video the way everything is going to go, putting VDI in a rather sweet spot?

Good to see they found a way of releasing the Montreal contract news by combining it with another one :o))

VISUAL DEFENCE ANNOUCES TWO CONTRACT WINS WITH A COMBINED VALUE OF $2.4 MILLION

RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO, May 9, 2008 - Visual Defence, Inc. today announces two
significant contract wins. The first is for an $870,000 CAD contract to
integrate video analytics with the existing video surveillance system for the
Montreal Transit Corporation to provide the subway system with an advanced
intelligent surveillance solution. This contract will commence in May 2008.

The second is for a contract to provide a mobile video surveillance and
recording solution for approximately 200 three-carriage Norwegian State Railway
trains. The contract, encompassing the company's Mobile Digital Video Storage
Solution hardware platform (mDVSS) is worth approximately $1,500,000 CAD over
the term. The project, expected to expand over time, will commence in May 2008.

Mesquida, I wasn't really expecting a full RNS as the contract isn't over 10%, but an RNSNON would have been nice and shown a bit of good PR.

I'd have thought that VDI in their line of work and liaising with large (and global) government agencies and companies would like the idea and transparency of the London listing, so I'd be surprised if they went private.

No RNS! Conspiracy theorists might suggest that Company is deliberately keeping a low profile whilst Directors secure funding for a cheap MBO.

Good spot Dasein :o)) Nice to come in from the sun and see that.

£500k is pretty significant for a £9m m/cap company with £7.5m of cash and operating profitably.

Only approved last night, so maybe we'll get an RNS today or tomorrow given that VDI are Canada-based? I'd have thought it's worth an RNSNON at the least.

Anyway, it's just another step in VDI's regaining of credibility and a sign of what's possible worldwide for the company.

Thanks for reply PAR12 - totally agree with everything you say. Let us hope that Chairman does not get too frustrated by continuing lack of investor recognition and takes it private before we get to see the benefits of all the recent contract wins.

Happy to hear that PAR12 - certainly with over 10p per share in cash and operating profitably VDI are worth a hell of a lot more than the current share price imho.

But why May 1st? Am I missing something, or are you being cryptic again?!!

We should have an AGM statement to look forwrad to soon as well - last year's was 31st May.

Here's Taldor's web site - amazing lists of customers and partners:

They have $150m of annual revenues and 1,700 staff!

It'll only take a small push from them to get VDI really moving.

An article here I hadn't seen before:

Extract:

"Visual Defence's founder and chairman Barry Tal gives an example of a retail customer that said it had a problem with sales staff ringing up fake returns and pocketing the money. Tal's company built an analytic that analyzes video in real time and alerts security when a return is rung up with no customer visible.

End users increasingly expect this level of interaction. More end-user engagement has been "the big change" in the industry in the last three years, says Joe Olmstead, director of marketing communications at Pelco.

"It's a challenge that is penetrating the industry," says Dedicated Micros President Allen Calegari.

And it's a challenge that the innovators take on with relish-to the benefit of us all."
