01/12/2006 19:07 | A good acquisition at what looks to be a fair price assuming £300k pre-tax has been at least maintained in 2006. It seems to allow VIG to develop in further niche areas such as Tube Laser cutting, bolster the CAM presence, as well as the chance to exploit the usual synergies in development and sales & distribution. Maybe we've finally seen the end of the single-digit bid price. | valhamos
01/12/2006 17:13 | A rather nice day. Still much further to go. | deswalker
01/12/2006 16:39 | At a guess the T 200K (deal 10) was a worked buy during the day and not the sell attributed by ADVFN. Only wish I could have picked up more earlier but Jelly messed up the action. | pugugly
01/12/2006 13:13 | A simple PSR analyis for 2005 as follows. VIG paid 2.77/1.9 = 1.46 times 2005 sales. VIG's 2005 sales = £10.2 mill. So prior to this deal assuming same PSR then VIG should be valued at 1.46 * 10.2 = £14.9 mill which equates to 40p a share (based on 37.26 mill shares). Clearly there is an element of a premium in there for the acquisition and varying levels of profitability between the two but on this very simplistic measure I remain very comfortable with my 27-30p target. Pleased they've brought this deal off because I was slightly annoyed that they let slip the big line of stock that PG picked up but now the reason is clear. A vote of confidence from Fortis too. They now have three big acquisitions in the last eighteen months. It must now be time for unifying the group as a whole and driving sales forward. No more deals for a year or two please. At the next results I want to hear good things from ALL of the core business, Smirtware, "Plastics" and Camtek and am trusting that none will quietly disappear to the back burner. Des | deswalker
01/12/2006 13:00 | Dear old IC-VIG's balance sheet strength and their ongoing search for earnings enhancing acquisitions was just one of the many positive things they omitted from their recent appraisal of VIG regards | rainmaker
01/12/2006 12:56 | Thanks Des-Camtek-their Software Engineers have one big reputation. Price a bit rich but you can't expect expect to pick up such a Company with World leading products on the cheap..an excellent acquisition. Very conservatively, assum Of course VIG have much better growth prospects than the sector as a whole and they will enjoy growth..convinced the share price will sky rocket!!!!!!!!!!!! regards | rainmaker

29/11/2006 13:49 | The resemblence between the current move and that off the 10p lows in mid 2004 is uncanny. If the current weakness is a technical retracement/reaction to being overbought as DS wanted then expect a (imminent) sharp move back up to recent highs of 12/13 then a rise to 15/16 regards | rainmaker
14/11/2006 14:20 | Very cheap but it's all gone very quiet for the time being.... regards | rainmaker
13/11/2006 16:08 | Still very cheap and expect a move to 18p in the very near future. Have spoken to some financial Journalists about a week or so ago(just before the latest move up) but so far have not seen anything in print. As to what will appear and when, I'm not really interested but just feel that VI Groupd deserves (balanced and fair) Press coverage. Saw a review in the IC and felt that it less than rounded/balanced ie no mention of high growth in Turnover(16 consecutive annual increases, mostly organic)tight containment of costs in recent years, changes in Accounting method from GAAP to IFRS,synergy created via acquisitions, avowed intention to seek earnings enhancing acquisitions made possible by the strength of their balance sheet-VI Group has no gearing and £1.5 mln net cash regards | rainmaker
08/11/2006 07:58 | V - There appears to have been more volume traded in the last few days than I've seen in the last year since I bought in. It all started after the PG buy (where's the other RNS btw) when somebody bought 25k last week. Then next day somebody wanted 40k and since then there's been a few trades each day up to about 30k. It must either have been tipped somewhere or the insiders know something that we don't. Anyway long may it continue, although any bid now would surely be well below my 27p target price. | deswalker
07/11/2006 22:43 | Des - I'd be quite happy to see some consolidation at this level with some meaningful volume traded, rather than the price continue to shoot up followed by the inevitable pull back. That said good to see some action for a change; in response this board has been quite restrained in the last few days - perhaps some of the regulars here are on holiday? | valhamos

02/11/2006 14:37 | The real test will be this year's highs of approx 12p(11/13)where it has failed twice before regards | rainmaker
02/11/2006 14:30 | As per my earlier message,looks good.Theoritically it can reach 17/18p as per x prospective p/e of 14.66. regards | rainmaker
19/10/2006 13:06 | Chart still looks good- a series of ascending highs and lows from last year's low point of last year-particticularly if it can make further progress from current levels regards | rainmaker
18/10/2006 12:40 | According to the accounts (downloadable from only S Galardo had that many shares to sell. | hugepants
17/10/2006 13:12 | According to last AR Pennine Downing AIM VCT 2 was interested in 1,162,780 shares. There have been no RNS's to indicate that this has changed. Consequently PG got 2,595,360 shares from somewhere else. Will have to be another RNS shortly. PG doing a great job at robbing these VCT's for large stakes at 9-10p ish. I'm a bit annoyed that the company hasn't been awake to the feelings of these large holders and agreed to buy some of them back. Would have been a fantastic deal. Still, I'm happier with PG on the register rather than the VCT's. Will force management to focus on the share price a bit more. | deswalker |
