            UTV Motion Pictures launches own music label - UTV Music

   NEW LABEL TO LAUNCH WITH JODHAA AKBAR - THE MOST AWAITED FILM OF THE DECADE

UTV Motion Pictures Plc (the "Company") today announced that it has launched its
own music label - UTV Music, for the worldwide distribution and marketing of the
audio rights for its own productions. The first soundtrack to be released by the
new label will be that of JODHAA AKBAR, one of the most awaited movies and
albums of the decade. JODHAA AKBAR stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai and is
directed by the Academy Award nominated director, Ashutosh Gowariker. The music
is by the maestro AR Rahman with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The Company has tied up
with Sony BMG for the distribution of the physical rights, broadcasting and
publishing rights for this project.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, Director of UTV Motion Pictures Plc says, "We have been
planning the launch of our own music label for a few months now, and were
waiting to get our digital piece in place, which it now is. We could not have
got a better platform than JODHAA AKBAR to launch with. We are also happy to
have Sony BMG on board as distributors for our first project."

The Company is well positioned to exploit the physical and digital rights for
its music going forward. The Company has a home video label, UTV Home
Entertainment, which has a sales and distribution infrastructure across India to
handle physical distribution of DVDs, VCDs, audio CDs and cassettes. The UTV
Group also recently welcomed into its fold, the pioneering gaming major
Indiagames, which going forward will create mobile and PC games for UTV
productions. With the induction of T N Prabhu, who has held leadership positions
in digital rights management in The Walt Disney Company and the Times Group, UTV
through its association with United New Media Ventures Limited now has its
digital plans in place for launch.

The music of Jodhaa Akbar will be launched on 15 January 2008 in stores
worldwide. The television promotions for the film have already started and have
been received well in all areas.
