Zedman1 I too have tried quite a few times at emailing the company, as you rightly said no courtesy whatsoever. Professor Mughal doesn't give a toss about investor relations. He doesn't put any news out. What's been happening in the company??????? I have followed this company for years, and can say they've done nothing to increase the share price. I suppose the excuse for the poor figures(I assume they will be bad) in a few weeks time, will be the recession in Europe.

I sold a large chunk of my holding last week based on the lack of news, the ever decreasing share price and the fact that 5 emails to the company's Investors' Relations Department have gone completely ignored. The lack of courtesy to answer a straightforward email from a shareholder is staggering. I am now so glad that when I bought in, there was a limit on the number of shares I could buy, otherwise I would have lost a lot lot more. Good riddance Professor Whoeveryouare. PS Seriously, does anyone know where he was awarded his Professorship?

Still holding Barrie

This company has no concept of investor relations

Hi Barrie, remember last week we were whinging about the investor relations page not being 'updated' since 2011. Today it's been refreshed as of 2 October 14. It's only a small thing in the grand scheme of things but appearances count and people are very savvy when it comes to websites.

ps. apologies if you were expecting something tastier Barrie

Investor Relations
Is it any wonder that there is hardly any buying. The 'Scam' in your face headline has been on the website for years now. Great first impression!

Ultima Networks website investor relations page. 'last updated July 2011'

"This page contains links to core management and financial information and has been designed to comply with the requirements of Rule 26 of the AIM Rules for Companies -'Company information disclosure'. This website is owned by Ultima Networks plc and hosted by Akhter Computers plc. The website was last updated on 7th July 2011"

Cognito 'placed 1st in 2009'.

Sigh..............

'UTN Solutions Ltd' hxxp://www.utnsolutions.co.uk/ When did that happen??

In September 2012, the company appointed:
The Board of Ultima, the AIM listed IT and Green Technology Company, is pleased to announce that Zeus Capital Limited has been appointed as Nominated Adviser and Broker to the Company with immediate effect.

Now they split up the roles and hired 2 companies:
The Board of Ultima, the AIM listed green technology company, announces that Cairn Financial Advisers LLP has been appointed as Nominated Adviser to the Company and Peterhouse Corporate Finance Limited has been appointed as broker to the Company, both with immediate effect.

Role of an AIM Nominated Adviser
On an on-going basis, the Nominated Adviser will ensure that the London AIM-listed company is complying with the AIM Rules, review and advise on the nature and form of London AIM regulatory announcements and provide advice on business strategies and general market conditions

Role of an AIM Nominated Broker
All London AIM-listed companies must also have a Nominated Broker at all times. The Nominated Broker assists the company in raising capital and makes a market in the London AIM-Listed company’s shares. The Nominated Broker plays a crucial role in the capital raising process on London’s AIM, acting as an introducer to appropriate institutions and other prospective investors, supporting the London AIM IPO with the publication of equity research and sizing and pricing the London AIM IPO in consultation with the company. For 90% of the companies listed on London’s AIM, the Nominated Adviser and the Nominated Broker are one in the same, although a strong case can be made for the separation of the Nominated Adviser and Nominated Broker roles. In recent years, most London AIM IPOs have taken the form of a Placing to institutional investors, however, companies that are already listed on London’s AIM may be required by their Nominated Adviser to pursue a Placing and Open Offer or a Rights Issue transaction with a view towards ensuring that the company’s existing London AIM shareholders are being treated fairly.

Why did it right before announcement of Interim?
Good or bad?
RTO a possibility? Related party transaction?

Investors in UTN believe that UTN are never going to amount to much and that talk of 10p is all pye in the sky. The market decided that years ago and have wrote them off accordingly but things can and do change and like I say, the fact that the market have written these off will make the share price appreciation that much more spectacular.
People scoff and say yeah we have heard all this before and rightly want to see evidence first before pushing the shares ahead.
As I said before its all about getting these contracts signed off and therefore the difference between 1p and 10p is just a signature.
So is it going to happen? lets just take one example with the Saudi talks where the pilot project has exceeded expectation and follow on orders are to be expected. The market has not valued in any of the potential as yet and waits for the deals to be signed off. Ask many investors and they will be highly sceptical about the deal receiving a signature and yet we know that talks between the Saudi`s and UTN have been ongoing for a year. Is this going to come about? Take a read of the following article and see if you are still as convinced that this is a no no or could UTN pull the big one out of the bag with the first of what could be a number of signatures.

"Saudi Arabia is looking to offset diesel with off-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) applications and hybrid solutions"

"Most significantly, Saudi Aramco and Saudi Electricity Company are discussing plans to replace as much as 300 MW of diesel generation in off-grid locations with solar PV."

As the market becomes more comfortable with this stock the spread will reduce which will draw investors in, increasing volumes and gaining investor interest.
For its part the company has to convert the potential and contract talks into signed deals. If it does that then this will be a multiple of where we are now.

Normally, I don't response to wide off the mark accusations.

What I will like to point out to any fellow investors who are new to me is that:

1. All the messages I post are my honest opinions based on publicly available information, mainly from company reports and RNS.

2. Base on Risk vs reward, I regard Utn as a good medium/long term recovery investment play.

I am here to share my opinions with others, just by sharing and exchanging useful info with genuine investors, we able to help each other in making right investment decision.

It's your hard earn cash, you boss that decision.
Very best of luck whatever you decide to invest or not to invest.
