02/9/2016 09:50 | FWIW I think they will be running in the black. The revenues are always second half loaded. The burn rate of 7-800k per month for Sensium was crazy and masked the underlying steady performance from DAB. The results in the next few weeks should confirm this. | chillpill
02/9/2016 09:47 | Late September usually, so if they can't state cashflow positive (despite the exceptionals to write down Sensium) then we need to know WTF is going on. Hopefully some confirmation on where we fit with Echo (and how it fits commercially) will see some action that puts today's little rise into the shadows. Imagine being a technology partner of choice for manufacturers wanting to talk to EITHER Google OR Amazon. Hopefully the beginning of much happier times. | the drewster
02/9/2016 09:36 | Good news, decent rise but I'll start getting excited when the tills start ringing and TMZ confirms its running in the black. | rollthedice
02/9/2016 09:21 | Look like 3p will go GLA | dickiebird2
02/9/2016 09:05 | The big potential is there now for all to see and TMZ has a real platform for a large revenue stream. Expect over the months as more deals come to light to really kick on. Would think as this gets re-rated more investors / institutes will be coming on board. | blueteam
02/9/2016 08:49 | I LIKE THIS BIT 'Google Cast is a new audio technology which enables wireless speakers to stream over 150 online music services, such as Spotify and Pandora, via Wi-Fi. Frontier Silicon is one of a very small number of solution providers chosen by Google to develop this technology. As this initial design win with the world's largest speaker company demonstrates, Toumaz is well placed to capitalise on this opportunity.' | hazl
02/9/2016 08:48 | We will need to soak up a lot of stock as the stale holders move on. | a2584728
02/9/2016 08:41 | Sethill certainly is talking a more bullish story over the last few weeks. | chillpill
02/9/2016 08:32 | Here we go....time for a massive rerate. | duxy786
02/9/2016 08:31 | Very encouraging statement - ''This is the first of several design wins to be announced in the coming months and an indication of the exciting potential of our high growth Smart Audio division." Means as more people see the real potential, it may well be on the radar for a take over. Really hope not as the real value has yet to come. | blueteam
02/9/2016 08:27 | wow great news and more to come, has the real potential to be really big, can't see this being below 4p for long. Roll on the next few weeks. | blueteam
02/9/2016 08:24 | Toumaz must be the only UK chip company that hasn't been taken over. ARM and CSR have gone in the last 18 months. Hopefully TMZ will be around a couple of years yet for stakeholders to reap proper rewards. | chillpill
02/9/2016 08:19 | Took a small stake this morning . I don't normally buy immediately after positive news , but not sure will get another chance sub 3p. I like small companies with good products , but have several burned fingers from tech failures. | wad collector
02/9/2016 08:16 | This really should get them going. | a2584728
02/9/2016 08:13 | What I like most is Sethill's words "This is the first of several design wins to be announced in the coming months and an indication of the exciting potential of our high growth Smart Audio division." We are bound to get noticed now. | s0lis
02/9/2016 07:57 | I like this bit... This is the first of several design wins to be announced in the coming months and an indication of the exciting potential of our high growth Smart Audio division." | taffy100
02/9/2016 07:50 | ! suddenly things seem to be in reverse.....like TMZ has found the way | hazl
02/9/2016 07:37 | "iPhone 7 to come with wireless 'AirPods' after Apple ditches headphone jack..." | someuwin
02/9/2016 07:35 | Confirmation of what we thought was going to happen. I expect Toumaz to have over 60% of the Googlecast market. Not bad for a tiny AIM company that has kicked all the competition into touch. The numbers here are as big as they potentially were for Sensium. Also good that the DAB side looks as if gaining momentum on the continent. Very good times ahead I think. | chillpill
02/9/2016 07:09 | Toumaz Limited ("Toumaz" or "the Group") First Design Win for Toumaz's Google Cast Solution with World's Largest Speaker Company Toumaz (AIM: TMZ), a pioneer in digital radio and smart audio technologies, today announces that Frontier Silicon, the Group's consumer audio business, has been chosen by Harman International Industries, the world's leading provider of wireless home audio devices ("Harman"), to power its new Google Cast-enabled wireless home speaker, the JBL Playlist. This is the first design win for the Group's Minuet speaker toolkit, a design platform enabling audio manufacturers, such as Harman, to develop wireless speakers incorporating Google Cast quickly and cost-effectively. Google Cast is a new audio technology which enables wireless speakers to stream over 150 online music services, such as Spotify and Pandora, via Wi-Fi. Frontier Silicon is one of a very small number of solution providers chosen by Google to develop this technology. As this initial design win with the world's largest speaker company demonstrates, Toumaz is well placed to capitalise on this opportunity. The JBL Playlist is a wireless home speaker which allows users to stream cloud-based music services and radio from smartphones, tablets or laptops. The JBL Playlist speakers also offer multi-room capability, so that consumers can listen to music throughout their homes from multiple synchronised speakers. The speakers are interoperable with other Google Cast devices. The JBL Playlist will be available from retailers in Q4 2016. Anthony Sethill, CEO, Frontier Silicon, said: "Just over a year ago we announced we were working with Google on its Cast technology. Google Cast promises to be a game changer for the smart audio sector and we are delighted that our first product announcement is with the world's largest speaker company, Harman. This is the first of several design wins to be announced in the coming months and an indication of the exciting potential of our high growth Smart Audio division." Robb Mason, Senior Director, Connected Home Harman, said: "The incorporation of Google Cast into the JBL Playlist brings listeners unrivalled Wi-Fi access to a host of online music services. We chose Frontier Silicon for this project because of its high level of customer support and ability to deliver robust technology solutions. The Frontier Silicon relationship has enabled us to produce a high quality, attractively priced speaker in time for this year's holiday season." | someuwin
01/9/2016 18:36 | I think it is clear from comments by Anthony Sethill and Pablo Fraile that TMZ will be offering a module to audio manufacturers that enables them to incorporate Amazon's Alexa and Google's Assistant voice recognition technologies, in addition to the standard streaming services (Google Cast, Spotify etc.) | rob_evans
01/9/2016 17:50 | Hi Drewster Like you, I have been at an investors meeting where it was fairly obvious that we were involved with more than one 'big player'. I think one could read between the lines, that in addition to Google, we were also linking with Amazon......even if they did not say it directly. Reading the last ERT article, why would Anthony Sethill mention Sonos, if we were not going to be linked in some way. He is not here to promote the opposition......espe Only time will tell. A ps Toumaz must have an original Amazon Echo in their office for a reason??? | aura01 |
