10/1/2017 10:36 | 2nd September (over four months ago, or just over another £400,000 in exec salaries) Anthony Sethill, CEO, Frontier Silicon, said: "Just over a year ago we announced we were working with Google on its Cast technology. Google Cast promises to be a game changer for the smart audio sector and we are delighted that our first product announcement is with the world's largest speaker company, Harman. This is the first of several design wins to be announced in the coming months and an indication of the exciting potential of our high growth Smart Audio division." KEY STATEMENT: This is the first of several design wins to be announced in the coming months and an indication of the exciting potential of our high growth Smart Audio division. I fear this company will never reach a fraction of what it might with the current management team in place, and of course they have already given away what could have been the crown jewels. Market Cap is still less than the funds raised since they took over, and their salaries are taking the pi@@ when compared to achievements and shareholder returns. Don't state you are going to announce further deals in the coming months and then say nothing for over four. | the drewster

02/11/2016 20:54 | Interims: "The Group is now focused entirely on its Digital Audio division, Frontier Silicon ('Frontier'), where the key development priority has been the completion of Minuet, its next generation Smart Audio platform incorporating Google Cast for Audio. This programme is in mass production - with first shipments due in Q4 2016." "The Board believes that growth opportunities exist in both the Digital Radio and Smart Audio markets and the introduction of voice recognition as a feature for Smart Audio and Smart Home devices could provide additional upside." "Smart Audio The Group has been active in Wi-Fi enabled audio solutions for several years, starting with solutions for Internet Radio and then incorporating online music services, such as Spotify. In 2015, the Group announced it would be working with Google to develop a new solution incorporating Google's Cast for Audio technology. Frontier is one of a small number of solution providers working with Google on this technology. Market volumes for Wi-Fi enabled Smart Audio devices (speakers, soundbars, Hi-Fi systems, audio / video receivers and Internet radios) are expected to grow in the next three years. The introduction of voice personal assistants may also represent an additional driver of the Smart Audio market. With the inclusion of microphones in a speaker, users can control the speaker via voice commands. These speakers can also offer connectivity to the internet and other smart home appliances, all controlled via voice. The Amazon Echo is the first such device to have successfully launched and Google has announced plans to introduce a voice-controlled Google Home Assistant before the end of 2016 2." Etc. etc. | mirandaj
02/11/2016 20:02 | It is Google home where any explosive growth is going to come from. | chillpill

02/11/2016 15:25 | Is there any Frontier Silicon product in Google Home? | project77
02/11/2016 09:44 | I'm very skeptical that Google Home will be a big seller for Frontier Smart. Google Chrome on the TV has not been the success I expected. It's impossible to get any support from google and bugs are not resolved. I am currently having problems with my AdWords account and my G+ business page. Both have serious errors. Google has given a credit for the past couple of months of AdWords billing but not fixed the fault, so I can't use the credits. Getting any response to the G+ business Pages fault has been impossible. In its drive for ad revenue Google has lost its focus on products that actually work and on customer service. It seems to be obsessed with constant changes that add little but are not fully tested. | nod
02/11/2016 03:53 | Nod, I'm not the biggest fan of AS but the old TMZ with its management would have gone bust. Katie Potts at Herald Investment Trust drove the Frontier deal. If Google home gets good traction then from here TMZ shareholders should do well. The share consolidation has purposely been timed with the Google home launch. | chillpill
02/11/2016 03:47 | Nearly time for the ramp up in sales... | chillpill
01/11/2016 09:19 | Nod - you forget that we are valued at less than the cash raised during the current management's reign, not unique, but quite an achievement all the same. Management rewards are not aligned with company achievements or shareholder returns. Management shareholdings and lack of purchases at these lowly levels hardly give a show of confidence either, no doubt new options will be issued. Oh, and they gave away the reason many first invested. Not without potential with the massive market share in digital, and the possibilities connected audio bring, but continuation of the woeful information flow, despite the promise that Harman was the first of many makes this very unexciting for now. | the drewster
31/10/2016 17:49 | Nearing the end of 2016 and the most exciting thing happening here is a share consolidation (which always means a price drop) and a return to the old name of a company the CEO founded and was ousted from. This company is all about Sethill and not about its shareholders. | nod
