19/1/2015 10:41 | Video interview with MD Dave Wall Dave Wall, the managing director of Tangiers Petroleum (LON:TPET), tells Proactive Investors the next steps for the oil explorer are to finalise the purchase of its acreage in Alaska and to raise the funds needed for the project. Wall says the results of the Great Bear conventional drilling programme to the north of its new acreage will be a catalyst for the stock this year. | proactivest

07/1/2015 17:11 | Thanks oilretire.Hopefully will shoot up on speculation of the drill result as drill date approaches .As many have already stated there is a massive disconnect between market cap and the huge potential reserves | goodbloke1

07/1/2015 14:37 | Potential yes & probably money to be made especially with next door drilling so soon - but there certainly IS NOT 1.6 Billion barrels of oil to TPET at this point in time. It's that kind of guff that spoils threads throughout ADVFN....... | oilretire

07/1/2015 14:01 | TPET Guys read the presentation 1.6 Billion barrels of oil to TPET. wow, thats why every man and his dog are piling in again today. See page 5. Dont say I didnt say (again) Tiny mkt cap, could go ballistic next few sessions as the herd arrive | topinfo
07/1/2015 12:35 | Don't be a prat Kirk. TPET are miles away from finding anything yet. The land is unproven for starters. Also, it shale gas/oil so it's more costly than crude in Iraq and the price of oil has plummeted. They need to raise funds at some point too as they have no cash. Like I said, Great Bear next door will be an indicator if they've bought a bargain or been sold a pup. The price of Brent crude oil has fallen below $50 a barrel for the first time since May 2009. It fell more than a dollar to $49.92 a barrel in early trading on Wednesday before edging back above the $50 mark. Slowing global growth and increased supply of oil and gas have pushed prices sharply lower in recent weeks. The price of oil traded in the United States, known as West Texas Intermediate crude, has already fallen below $50. Many observers expect the price of oil to fall further as North American shale producers continue to supply increasing quantities of oil and gas, and the oil-producing group Opec resists calls for cuts in production to support prices. "With no sign that Opec will do anything about over-production, it seems likely that we could well see further declines towards $40 in the coming weeks," said CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson. | induna123
07/1/2015 12:14 | Exactly nothing priced in at 3m mkp and the likely hood is there is bucket loads of oil. Over 1 billion barrels! | kirk 6
07/1/2015 11:48 | Guys, that's why the market cap is sat at 3m. Look what happened to ROSE on no oil. | sh0wme
07/1/2015 11:28 | Agree Induna, the near term news flow & share price driver will be third party news next door..... | oilretire
07/1/2015 11:27 | Ramp attack from topinfo!! Whilst I agree the potential looks interesting, there are 0 bbls of oil until proved...... | oilretire
