29/2/2008 14:14 | it does seem to be the type of news people have been waiting on - the words macro and commercial being used etc etc... not much reaction to the news tho...ho hum...back to counting the tunmbleweed perhaps... I guess that a few tipsters may fancy sticking it down as a punt?? | carl79
29/2/2008 13:16 | Looks like people are on a long lunch today, as can't understand how people haven't picked up on this news yet!! | goldeneye5
29/2/2008 12:18 | I like the way the announcement uses the word "commercial" more than once. I've just spent all my money on another share, damn damn damn. Oh, well, there's always next month. | arf dysg
29/2/2008 11:56 | This looks like great news....Macro diamonds and stones | goldeneye5
26/2/2008 19:09 | strange, no trades for 5 days, since 21st feb.?? | ceckyspunt
22/2/2008 20:50 | Hmmm... same as my cat, Cecky! :o) | markusantonius
22/2/2008 20:12 | my wife is the same...she need hrt treatment...lol | ceckyspunt
22/2/2008 13:18 | Like I said... a tad touchy...! | markusantonius
22/2/2008 09:17 | Or maybe you are all just a talking shop good only at making noise?... Now lets see, what does the share-price say?... Hmmmmm... | katylied
21/2/2008 20:31 | Cecky and Masure, Katy gets a tad touchy when you question her loyalties, as I recall. Therefore either she holds loads (and is seriously cheesed off playing the waiting game, just like the rest of us!) or she has a hidden agenda... maybe a bit of both, who knows? | markusantonius
21/2/2008 20:22 | katylied...i guess you have no interest in SDS then?...tell me what do you have shares in right now? | ceckyspunt
21/2/2008 20:05 | YAWN.... ZZZZZzzzzz.... | katylied
21/2/2008 19:54 | katylied...read this RNS and wonder... -------------------- LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Sunrise Diamonds PLC said its winter drilling programme for the Kaavi-Kuopio area in Finland has been hampered by extremely mild weather, as drill tests over lake targets cannot proceed safely until the ice is thick enough. Testing of these particular lake targets may need to wait for 12 months, the company said. The land-based kimberlite targets are scheduled for drill tests in March. The processing of samples collected from priority kimberlites 10, 14 and 17 generated larger than normal amounts of dissolution residues, which took longer than expected to pick for microdiamonds and carry out appropriate quality controls. The results of the sampling are now expected next week, it said. Targets 295, 298 and the Kalettomanpuro kimberlite are all scheduled for follow-up work, the company said in an AGM statement. TFN.newsdesk@thomson -------------------- "larger than normal amounts of dissolution residues"?? interesting?? DIAMOND EXTRACTION BY CAUSTIC DISSOLUTION Processing for Microdiamond Analysis The process uses diamond's property of high resistance to caustic soda (NaOH). Very few minerals survive the harsh attack by caustic soda; therefore weight reductions commonly exceed 99% of the initial sample weight. After digestion in molten caustic soda, the sample is poured onto a large diameter 150 mesh screen. The + 150 mesh residue is liberated from the NaOH by washing the sample in a series of water and acid leach (HCl) baths. Once all of the NaOH is dissolved and removed, the concentrate is dried and screened on a 6 mesh screen to remove undigested material. The undigested material is examined microscopically by a mineralogist. If the + 6 mesh material is significant or consists of possible diamondiferous rock fragments, further digestion may be required. -------------------- now what are your thoughts? | ceckyspunt
18/2/2008 10:53 | "KatyLied - 21 Jan'08 - 14:12 - 8549 of 12046: No coogar, you don't understand. Brown has bottled. They will not be a nationalization. It is just a bluff now. That is why the share-price bounced today. The city knows it... And the city boys are rubbing their hands with glee, at the promise of a massive fee..." Yeah right - your post on the NRK thread really demonstrates how much you know ! | masurenguy
16/2/2008 21:04 | ceckyspunt... read the RNSs and marvel at the incredible lack of progress over the last couple of years... Or... read the SDS web-site yet again, for the umpteenth time... Or... see if you can rub your tummy and you head at the same time... Or... ZZZzzzzzz.... | katylied
16/2/2008 19:49 | katylied, look at the sds website...its very informative has anyone heard anything about the results of the 200kg sample sds took last year?...must be due any day now... | ceckyspunt
13/2/2008 00:26 | Well, it'll soon be warming up over there. So as long as the drillers all work hard, then I don't mind em having a splash or 2 in the pool. But we need to find some big fat juicy MACRO diamonds first, please, guys! | markusantonius
13/2/2008 00:19 | You may be right, but i have made a few £thousand on these before (pure luck), so i don't feel so bad buying again at such a low price. But I take your point. However KDR are the more likely to have a success story i think, given the people involved. Would advise you take a serious look at CDG, Conroy Diamonds and Gold, as a small punt could do quite well here. (+recent minesite article) Also if BRR continues to fall as it has been recently, its also beginning to look like good value. Regarding SDS, hope its not cheap winter sports too, its hard to know.! | goldeneye5
12/2/2008 23:58 | You are assuming that this is a diamond exploration company. There is little factual evidence to support that view. More likely, it is just a social club for management/staff, providing access to cheap winter sports holidays... | katylied
12/2/2008 23:55 | Any word on these yet?....Chances are that between Sunrise, Karelian and Kopane in Finland, one of them will strike it lucky, given the geology. If this happens then the SP's of all would go north, given their proximity to each other. Karelian have the best connections with Finland, in terms of the length of time they have been there, there relationship with the geological survey of Finland, and there previous connections with Outokumpu (spelling sorry??), and probably there ground positions. However any of them could strike it lucky, so going to hedge my bets and invest in all 3 companies over the comming weeks. Diamond exploration shares are never a secure punt, but they can be very rewarding. Fingers crossed | goldeneye5
03/2/2008 19:03 | Agreed, Topvest. But when (IF!) exactly do you predict that macros will be found? Alternatively what happens when this latest round of fundraising runs out? It has to stop at some point, surely?!!!! | markusantonius
03/2/2008 17:40 | Wrong - £353k capitalised mining spend. Sunrise are a prudently run outfit with some interesting projects. High risk, as with any diamond play, but better than most given the ammount of money BHP previously spent on the database acquired in Finland. | topvest
25/1/2008 15:14 | Is this the dead duck it appears to be or am I missing something? Wages + Office Supplies > OutgoingsForDiamondG does not look like a real company... like more like a thumb-twiddling cash shell wasting my money! Is this a real-life Wernham-Hogg? | davidhp |
