21/8/2007 12:00 | Possibly due an update on the following... TARGET 298 Kimberlite boulders with high microdiamond contents (22 intact stones and five fragments in a 20.8kg sample) have previously been recovered by the Company from surface glacial sediments in the target area. Further sampling work during the summer has defined a larger volume of glacial sediments containing very high counts of diamond-prospective kimberlite indicator minerals and consequently the Company believes that the source kimberlite could be economically significant. The glacial dispersion patterns in this area are complex and prospecting and sampling designed to narrow the potential source area is currently on-going. ... A further eight winter "drill ready" kimberlite targets have also been defined based on lake bottom seismic soundings. The Company is continuing to develop the valuable database acquired from BHP Billiton and in early August will start a sampling programme for nine new priority targets associated with diamond prospective kimberlite indicator minerals. The company did state that this was to be a good year... | carl79
21/8/2007 11:46 | Interesting one, L2 just ticked up again, wonder if news is in the air... | jonty6
21/8/2007 11:37 | A couple of decent 'tick ups' the last couple of days (admittedly from a low level). No doubt I have now put the kiss of death on this. | nigthepig
02/8/2007 08:14 | From above link - "Shares were sparkling in AIM-listed Sunrise Diamonds after it announced the go-ahead for drilling in Finland. The project had been delayed over increased demand for drilling services in the current commodity boom, but will now start in September. It closed up 6.95 per cent at 2p." Not sure that i'd have said sparkling...nice to get a mention though...Lets see wht transpires | carl79
01/8/2007 19:13 | That single 200K trade must be a buy. Hope his optimism is rewarded... | katylied
01/8/2007 13:57 | funny but how is it level 2 is 5 v 1 due for another .25 rise | sgfund2
01/8/2007 11:46 | yep, the hype factor is all but gone. The market doesn't care for anything less than a real find. Many explorers do well on hype, but not this one, not anymore... | katylied
01/8/2007 11:39 | markus - spot on | nigthepig
01/8/2007 11:29 | IMHO: the ONLY way we will EVER get sustained gains in the share price is IF/when MACRO diamonds are discovered...? Until such time, micro diamond finds (whilst very encouraging) merely serve to remind everyone of what MIGHT be there in the ground. | markusantonius
01/8/2007 10:47 | A lot of trading interest since the announcement!!! (not) It will be difficult for SDS to hold on to this mornings minimal gain in the share price | nigthepig
01/8/2007 10:36 | lol! To March 31st. Well, only time will tell... | katylied
01/8/2007 10:34 | like you say they have more than 600k in the bank, which means for now they dont need money | sgfund2
01/8/2007 10:31 | sgfund2, last year they burnt ~£200K but very little on actual exploration. At the full year 2006, they reported cash of ~£400K, but 2 months later raised ~£540K at 2p/share. A couple of months after that they reported cash of ~£650K. Now they are planning a winter drilling session. Come next spring, don't be surprised if they are back down to ~£400K. If that was the trigger for a fund raising this year, then why not a trigger for the next?... | katylied
01/8/2007 10:15 | katy who said anything about fund raising, sds are fully funded with lots of cash available. therefore i dont see a need for more funds | sgfund2
01/8/2007 09:55 | Well maybe, if you discount the possibility that the next fund-raising (and the money does seem to burn away irresepctive of whether any exploration takes place), will now be below 2p/share... | katylied
01/8/2007 09:51 | KatyLied, I imagine that those who are interested in SDS already have their shares and those who are watching are going to wait for results of drilling or sampling before they buy. That might mean very little trading until we get a technical update. For those who are already believers in SDS, the next few months would be a good time to accumulate. | arf dysg
01/8/2007 09:33 | The market will be the judge of that and so far the market is underwhelmed(as usuual).. Just a thought... but maybe SDS is now beyond the point where just hints and innuendo will cut it anymore?... | katylied
01/8/2007 09:31 | I remember a previous announcement where they were talking about very high quantities of microdiamonds and kimberlite indicator minerals in glacial sediment trains and they used the phrase "A source of significant size". I was dancing round the room singing A source of significant size, A source of significant size, Tra la la-la la-la, A source of significant size. (well, almost) Now we have "economically significant." The future's bright. The future's sparkly. | arf dysg
01/8/2007 08:57 | Source Kimberlite At Target 298 Could Be "Economically Significant" | maxbubble
25/7/2007 13:42 | looks like it was! | carl79
20/7/2007 15:09 | SDS share-price has gone up! shorely shum mishtake?... | katylied
