He sees himself as being above the law, and beyond criticism, a bit like Trump or Philip Green. My wife does business with SPD, she hates having to visit them. They never pay bills promptly, usually operate in a dismissive and unprofessional manner and leave her sat in reception for over 4 hours pretending they didn't know she was waiting. She hates doing business with them, but has little option.... and they take full advantage of that.

Couldn't agree more Festario. When will that man ever learn.Another excuse for the bears to jump all over the share price.Just hoping he my have learnt his lesson but you just don't know. One PR disaster after another.

Just watching the BBC news about the incident.A complete embarrassment. Not a leg to stand on by the company, nor any rebuttal.Ashley apparently got nasty and accused the MP's of planting the device themselves.Three words used to summarise SPD by the MP's...Amateurish, Unprofessional, Unethical

To be fair Gersemi - it's because of the company's unfairness towatds it's employees (all admitted by the way by MA) that has got us here - so union prseence can be a good
check on unscrupulous employers (although I also agree it has to balanced)

Good to hear such a balanced report on the visit from the labour leftie M.P. Surprised they wanted to hold the post-visit review over sandwiches at Sports Direct HQ rather than over an expenses paid lunch at a local Michelin starred restaurant.

Well done SPD . You got yourself in another mess again just after the last episode had blown over. Amateurish fools.

I've read almost every article about SPD from yesterday's visit and it does sound like the tour before the sandwichgate incident went ok. Looks like some progress has been made . That should be taken as bullish for the share price but don't know if that will be cancelled out by the whole bugging story. They used the same device throughout the visit and I wonder if the powers that be thought they could extend to the meeting. The device wasn't very well hid. Very naive though. 007 eat your heart out!!!

The sandwich lady is probably just very conscientious about the quality of her sandwiches and decided to listen in so that she could implememt any improvements in her sandwiches for the next time the mp's decided to turn up ?

Just reading about the visit today and apparent bugging device. Sounds like the tour went well and then someone decides to try and bug the meeting. Can SPD not do anything right. What a butch of morons . I'm a big holder and even I despair with the stupidity of them at times. Let's hope that the tour did go well and that this latest incident can be overlooked .
