09/9/2016 13:57 | 295m pretax profit and 1.9b market cap. This should sustain a 3b market cap which supports a £4 target | terminated
08/9/2016 20:50 | DD - thanks for the clarification | thevaluehunter
08/9/2016 20:01 | Ok, understood. and the why must be because advfn data shows only. 44m shares, rather than 592m. problem solved, thank you. | mattd1
08/9/2016 19:31 | mk cap is £1.9 billion. | discodave4
08/9/2016 19:13 | actually, even above at bottom of charts the market cap is shown as 141m. help? | mattd1
08/9/2016 19:12 | Someone help me please. The valuation market cap on Financials page is approx 140m. What am I missing? I feel thick as two planks. I'm looking at this as a recovery play. £300m profit not to be sniffed at, and surely he is clued up enough to make smart (PR savvy) changes that deliver much more than they cost ... | mattd1
08/9/2016 18:46 | Looking at their accounts they don't have a lot of excess cash in bank and they have already announced they will be spending big on acquiring freehold properties which will help long term, but short term this could do with a little support. | terminated
08/9/2016 16:13 | Unions have a place, but its their leaders own personal poltical motive that make them turn me off. They just want a communist state. Even their own members cant see it. (ie nurses/j doctors) | kmann
08/9/2016 14:52 | Yes there is - started fairly recently. Not sure what Long term plans are though. | oggyrocks
08/9/2016 14:39 | Does anyone know: is there a share buy back scheme in place? | terminated
07/9/2016 22:28 | Don't get me wrong I'm hardly a labour voter but the fact Unite was toothless in this instance is deeply troubling. | alphabeta4
07/9/2016 13:12 | I suppose in a positive sense all the negative news is priced in now. Given that it is pushing through 320p it seems to have been absorbed well. | terminated
07/9/2016 12:05 | Follow the AGM here.... | philanderer
07/9/2016 11:59 | *naivety (with apologies) | buoycat
07/9/2016 11:33 | Unite did target SPD, I agree with you on that point. But why not other companies? I'm afraid SPD have ignored outside concerns about their governance standards and that is coming back to haunt them. It's quite rare for institutions to get 'active', unfortunately they did not have much choice. Time for SPD board to grow up and start taking their responsibilities seriously. | alex1621
07/9/2016 11:10 | Unite tried to destroy Ineos and they will try to shackle SPD. Unite are a political entity not some cuddly trades union concerned for the welfare of workers. Their aim is collective bargaining and the infection of the private sector. They are pursuing the same policy with many London based bus companies and when they succeed they will hold the capital to ransom at their choosing. The RMT have been using political strikes for years now and this tactic will become a political weapon in the future as Labour move further left and ditch conventional parliamentary politics in favour of direct action I'm sorry but your nievety regarding this poisonous organisation, its leader and their allies is troubling Unite believe in collectivism not capitalism | gersemi
07/9/2016 10:50 | I think in this instance the unions have a point. Bad call buying these yesterday but longer term Ashley has always been a capable manager and a year from now these should be approaching £5. Any buying now will be based on long term turnaround. | terminated
07/9/2016 10:17 | Thankfully the share buy backs will now be cheaper! | mac15
07/9/2016 10:14 | will climb to 400p after results | inv |
