The future of SCA is safe; someone just scooped up 700 shars at 15.9p

Is that a notifiable interest?

I hope with all their bragging about how well they expect to do with the Rugby World Cup they have the foresight to install some decent draught bitter into their bar sites (including London) Otherwise wave goodbye to 80% of English rugby fans.

ps. We know it takes a little longer to pour but don't be scared guys! It will be well worth the effort.

Hi Digger, well therein lies the answer, it was your support in the background that swung it. I don't know what I would do without you. Also, come to think of it I am beginning to wonder if our portfolios are a mirror image of each other - LOL. Have a good weekend, Mike.

Mmmm, very interesting turnaround this afternoon. Couldn't even sell 10k online, and could buy quite easily. Now can sell 37.5k @ 16.5 (nice premium!), buy only 15k @ 17.3p

Welcome back Eddie, I was beginning to feel that I was here all alone in a darkened room - LOL.

I don't think I will tempt fate by calling them this time around but will leave them to their own devices.

From last night's Stockmarket Reporter from the UK-Analyst stable:

"Movers elsewhere included Sports Cafe (SCA), up 3p at 16.5p as investors speculated that there may be renewed bid activity."

For the record, I'm back in as of yesterday.

With a market cap of little more than £5m these days; a fairly positive outlook statement; the sale and leaseback prospect of Brum; and the re-positioning of the Balkou/Kinsella founder/major shareholders partnership that appears to provide better scope for them to launch a bid, I don't think there's much to lose here and decent prospects of the long-awaited bounce/bid.

I'll keep fingers crossed.

I phoned SCA's head office yesterday but was told all directors "rushing around" and out "in meetings the whole day"

Of course this may be no more than discussing a new site or something mundane but I got the distinct impression something was up.

No ramp intended.

Deja Vu anyone????
