digger...ah, but it came out during a storm. I stand by my answer to your question all the same. You might find it's just popped back in for a raincoat and a brolly.

Curious to see this rise first thing, maybe some overdue news is about to break. Gawd knows we could do with something positive.

steddieddie - COP had a quick peep out of the drawer decided it didn't like the outside world and stayed put.

In my bottom drawer more like. Is being kept company by the likes of GPC,CHP,COP etc. Who will be first to re-emerge?

Had same thoughts Xonghile.....

I had wondered whether interest was trying to be generated in a T/O, and the publicity was aimed at flushing out a potential bidder before some chickens came home to roost....

Before I bought I was telling myself the old adage: "never invest just on takeover speculation, NEVER invest just on takeover speculation" but I did, but on the condition I watched it like a hawk and sold if it looked like faltering. I have sympathy for you folks who held. I was lucky to get out quick, as I by no means bought early in the rise.

I also lost shed loads here from a bum tip.

One wonders if the deal turned sour at the last minute ie just genuine bad luck or if someone was leading us all on a 'made up' merry dance from day one.

Lesson learnt the hard way. Never listen to rumours/hearsay.

My losses on SCA currently just short of £23k ....

Not the best of deals so far ......

I don't hold out much hope for an MBO though, but if there is one, you can bet it will not be at a price any of us are particularly happy with. THis whole thing smells to me.......

Zandy... FWIW.. and I'm sure you don't want to hear this... I'd keep your eyes on hml... it could be the means to make up your losses here and then some...

TF,

Perversly comforting to know someone lost more than me on SCA (circa £17k). Sorry to hear of your losses.

Anyone else care to mention their losses on SCA?

ob4...I think we're all in the same sort of schtook for the same sort of reasons but definitely don't give up on SCO.

Master, hi, more than fancy, if you know what I mean!

ob4... I'm not holding out much hope for a mbo here actually. I'm off if I can get 20p or so tbh...

More importantly... very bullish that we'll all do very well at HML... hence there is a light at the end of the tunnel... TF

ob4...my opinion is, yes. In fact, I think it'll be a succession of positive news throughout 2007. For latecomers this is a great opportunity to do the hoovering and sit tight.

Vibes from the AGM are excellent so just be patient. There's nobody more tired of waiting than me but it'll come! I am convinced SCO is a new story from here :-))

malc... you must be referring to SCO.. not SCA... we're probably messing up the thread on O/T here...

SCA - I have no worries about my decision to invest here. The cards turned bad... and thats just tough.

SCO - Deals with the military actually any govt deals are notoriously difficult to call. I still expect some good news very soon. I'm holding there. TF
