Speedy Hire Plc (LON:SDY)‘s stock had its “buy” rating reaffirmed by stock analysts at Investec in a report issued on Friday. They currently have a GBX 100 ($1.54) price target on the stock. Investec’s price target would suggest a potential upside of 42.86% from the stock’s previous close.

Speedy Hire Plc (LON:SDY) opened at 70.00 on Friday. Speedy Hire Plc has a one year low of GBX 50.75 and a one year high of GBX 83.00. The stock’s 50-day moving average is GBX 74.37 and its 200-day moving average is GBX 67.77. The company’s market cap is £359.2 million.

A number of other firms have also recently commented on SDY. Analysts at Liberum Capital reiterated a “buy” rating and set a GBX 79 ($1.22) price target on shares of Speedy Hire Plc in a research note on Wednesday, February 11th. Separately, analysts at Shore Capital reiterated a “buy” rating on shares of Speedy Hire Plc in a research note on Friday, January 9th. tho' the frequent mention of "before amortisation & exceptional costs"
regarding ebitda, PBT & eps does mitigate the enthusiasm.

Think once the share price clears the 70p hurdle this will motor ahead as we have a trading update on the 16th which should show some good numbers. All imo.

There is not much chance of the 'nasty party' being voted in in next years general elections. But a wee promis to build houses on brownfield sites could help SDY in the short term !. As they say 'every little helps' in getting over 70p.

I heard some projects were on hold in Scotland until after the outcome, a NO vote is very good for these projects to get the nod.
Scotland accounts for a tenth of the companies sales, no big deal but more projects will be a bonus for Speedy.
Manchester is up 19%
London up 20% and Birmingham is up 6% all year on year.

So many uncertainties if Scotland had voted yes, (auditors, banking structure) I expect projects to feed in now.

I cann't agree with you Celeritas. Hopefully more project will come on stream now the vote as passed. But talking between trades and to the Speedy guys, people as stil busy and Speedy delivery is "busy" also.
