Nice one frost1, I'm very insecure.

These Walter Mitty characters always tell you they have bought in at near the lowest price after the price has gone up. Also why does a person need to announce to all how clever they supposedly are. Ngms is definitely a very insecure character.

Quite clear ngms, however I don't believe a word you say from your so called clever meaningful debate.

ngms27: who said anything about "one"? I'm talking about management capability in the collective sense, and JP is demonstrably more than just a salesman (given his recognised qualifications).

I mean, the team at HUR? Half trying to get a placing away above market price? Fairly Mickey Mouse imo.

Mikemichael,I posted the fact around the time. The reason I bought back in is I watched it go to 38p and rebound. At that point I felt it might have bottomed so bought back in. It's always a judgement call when trading a stock.I previously had sold at 55p so am still a little underwater. For the record I'm not interested whether you believe me or not as you are one of the posters I ascribe no value to. I don't think you add anything meaningful to the debate. Is that clear enough for you?

The question is where will the bottom be?

Potentially there is another 4 to 6 weeks before material news.

Even I didn't think 30p would be tested, I'm not so certain now.

Amazing how you managed to buy back in just about right at the bottom, when your post suggests you where thinking of it going lower !!!

Ngms playing his own game.

Assets aside I'd probably hold SOU management above HUR (imo).

Steel, likewise, I'm in HUR from 15p though initially and back in SOU from 41p.

In this game diversity is a must and I think SOU and HUR are both likely multi-baggers over the next 3 years.

Well, I hold both. In HUR's case, slightly underwater and in SOU's on free carry. Apples and pears to me so feeling diversified :)

The last Tendrara drill failed. HUR haven't had a failed well.

I think SOU has inherently more risk than HUR given all wells drilled in the license have been tight and not produced anything meaningful without fracking. TE-8 showed this is no slam dunk and permeability is likely to be a major issue throughout the acreage. The historical wells paint a similar picture.

On the other hand HUR have flowed two wells over 11000 BOPD limited by surface equipment. A successful EPS will likely unlock 1 to 2 billion barrels of reserves not OIIP or GIIP as SOU's figures are.

ngms, If you believe in the story good for you, but over what time period did they flow? I bought at around 0.58 and lost about 2p share getting out. Where is the share price now? I'm not being clever, I'm stating that after doing further research, the risk was too great. Even to being more expensive getting the oil out the ground. Nothing to stop me from re-entering when Eps comes into play(2019?) Super majors could have bought in with what would have been peanuts; they didn't. There's enough risk in the market without holding a share where doubts persist. My faith lies with Tandrara and conventional drilling. That's about it.

Ziblot.....fair play, I was lucky and bailed just in time here, keeping back 10k shares cos I feel long term (and I share the ngms veiw on term here) HUR is a gamble, like any O and G.....for my insanity I have a hefty lump in ukog too.......although I am starting to get the eeby geebies about that now.

Hur still have to prove it will flow. I had a lot of money in there but decided after doing the homework the risk was too great. Wasn't in long but accepted the loss just to get out. Main holding now in here and have faith in Tendrara.

With respect..

Just so you know.. I have upmost respect for ngms. He talks with reason, provides an educated overview.

He knows I post the same old line after a perfect statement by him.
It's called banter. I could not and do not hold the knowledge he obviously has in spades.

Terry,

I don't think JP has any appetite for the '3-5 year view'. I think we have 24 months max.

I have not visited this thread for a while - I can't believe that there are some total half wits attacking ngms and proudly announcing that he is filtered. It is almost as if that clown Zeberdie was back!
What planet do these clowns live on - he has been pretty accurate on this stock all along.
TE8 was a disaster - a total disaster - for the momentum of the share price (although not a total disaster for the company in the long term).
It was a bold move but turned out to be a step out too far. It was astonishing on the day that the news was released to see some fools posting 'great news' before the market even opened - the LSE board on this stock has to have the largest amount of lunatic sycophants ever to be assembled in one place.
However I have not sold any (I have 175,000 bought at an average of about 22p) because I believe that there remains a decent opportunity in Tendrara on a longer term view - there is zero chance of the '£5-10 liquidity event' so beloved of the LSE happy clappys any time soon - but on a 3-5 year view there is decent upside with a bit of luck - sadly it's a lot less likely to be a life changer.
