The more this falls the more likely a dividend cut becomes.

WHICH WORLD STOCK MARKETS

AND IF A HUGE AMOUNT WOULD IT HAVE AN IMPACT ON OTHER OILIES SPs

A small amount more at 1388.

A lot of people appear to be looking for the £12's, not that far away atm.

1264p would be the equivalent of the current BG. price (960p)on bid terms. Rather than BG. rising significantly to give parity it looks like RDS is falling.

looks like 1400p barrier about to be broken. Down to 1200p like in 2004?

Price action today would suggest that those that will determine the outcome of this are happier/more confident that the deal will go through. Rotation from RDSB to BG?

Will it be,when oil and gas prices are testing record lows? Oil at $20 $10 a barrel? Can you see any respite, when oil is being pumped at peak levels to maximise dollar income for the producers? The foundations could be shaking.

Vertical integrating an oil and gas fossil fuel business is complete madness. I think shareholders who somehow imagine its now good value and in the long run will somehow add value are making a grave error.Lets pretend it was the otherway round and Shell had a huge NG arm of BGs size. Surely management and shareholders alike would have been screaming at them to divest and split the business long ago to realise best value long before the present energy crash!

In fairness you need to expect some very sharp moves in the run up
to deal completion.

The cheaper you add the better, as long as the Company is fundamentally
sound.

This only goes to show Shell's shares are unwanted now. When the BG deal goes through ( "if" ) the market will have to cope with an influx, which will depress the price even further.

Just a thought for the income boys, even if dividend is 47c same as last year.
With the £ to $ 1.46 thats a 32.19p sterling, up from 31p.

The figures wont, of course , include all the $7-8bn writeoffs this time around - so a bonus there. Poo lower, so lower revenue upstream but one expects downstream will pick up some of that slack.

Bears in total control, all we can do is sit back and get our 8.5% yield paid quarterly.

Oversupply will keep oil and gas prices low for a long time to come.Surely fund managers know this already. How can they be happy with the BG deal? A threat to the dividend from 2017 onwards? It just cannot be taken for granted that BG is in the bag. Many may have second thoughts.
