For the year ending 31 August 2017

Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that the Directors of the Company have declared the payment of a first interim dividend of 1.60 pence per share for the year ending 31 August 2017 on the ordinary shares of the Company, unchanged from the first interim dividend paid in respect of the previous financial year.
