22/11/2016 12:07 | Interesting comment about their "disciplined approach to balance sheet management". Have been a holder for a long time but when I clocked the growth potential of the acquisitions strategy, I used the deep-discounted Rights Issues to substantially increase my holding and it has become one of my largest and best-performing holdings of recent years. If they follow the format (deep-discounted Rights Issue), could be another great opportunity for shareholders. | jeffian
22/11/2016 10:02 | Curious about that too.But some big fish seems to be buying today... | from8to800

07/11/2016 10:36 | You're right. Results will be out on the 30th. Dion know where I got the 15th from.Anyway, cannot come soon enough. I think it'll be the required push to send this stock through the £10 mark. | from8to800
05/11/2016 16:42 | I don't know which website you're looking at! When I looked it said 30th Nov, as did the last Trading Statement - "29 September 2016 RPC Group Plc Pre Close Trading Statement RPC Group Plc ("RPC" or "Group"), the international plastic products design and engineering company, today issues a pre close trading statement for the period 1 April 2016 to 30 September 2016 ("first half" or "period"), ahead of its first half results announcement due to be published on 30 November 2016." | jeffian
05/11/2016 16:18 | According to the website half year results are due 29th November. | kendaljohn
03/11/2016 15:02 | I would say it is very likely this retests the 9£ mark and will probably do so ahead of the 15th when results are due. | from8to800

05/10/2016 22:20 | Hi Jeffian, Plastic bags can be re-used, so there's the opportunity to encourage customers to do so, not the same for plastic containers for sauces and other foodstuffs. Haven't seen the article but maybe it is plastic water and other drinks bottles that are the potential 'target' as they are more of a litter problem. I can't see why there would be a move to target plastic containers for foods, pills etc made by RPC over alternatives such as glass or metal. As domestic waste these containers are all re-cycled now anyway so surely it would be neutral. RPC doesn't often hit the headlines but has been an excellent share. | cheshire pete
05/10/2016 11:32 | I can't see people carrying the extra weight of glass, and the health and safety issues when broken. But then again, why banning micro thin plastic bags that should be biodegradable anyway is beyond me. | m4ybe
05/10/2016 09:36 | This share has been great for me and the combination of taking up all Rights Issues and the increasing share price has resulted in it being considerably 'overweight' (if I believed in such a thing) in my portfolio. All was sweetness and light until this morning when I saw a piece on the news extolling the success of the plastic bag 'tax' in reducing the use of those but moving onto plastic bottles and suggesting that they were next for the chop. Is this a move towards a reduction in the use of plastic containers more generally? May it become a problem for RPC? Comments welcome! | jeffian

30/9/2016 09:47 | My philosophy is to buy/hold on a positive story as RPC undoubtedly is. Holding up well in a falling market. Chasing stocks that have fallen heavily at such times is pure gambling. | broadwood
