16/4/2007 09:04 | Im not a accountant so what does this mean. "Cashflow was strong over the year with cash conversion in excess of 100%." | johnv
16/4/2007 08:38 | It is indeed a nice start to the week. | papalpower
16/4/2007 07:20 | Comfortably in line with excellent cash conversion....nice start to the week :o) | nurdin
11/4/2007 16:56 | >Daz..... amen to that ! | fse
11/4/2007 14:30 | I think RAS is a good short/medium term play. The trading statement expected soon should lead to further interest. From the contract win RNS...'The Board will provide a trading update for the financial year ending 31 March 2007 in mid April.' A prospective P/E of 11 to Mar 2008 is cheap for a company with good quality earnings and cash to expand further. Results in June will be followed by the first 2009 forecasts, which ought to be around 13p, possibly more. I would have thought a rating of 14/15 times earnings would be appropriate, giving a potential price somewhere between 160 - 170, 30 - 40% upside from the current 123.5. If the share price can maintain a price in the high 120's, a breakout also looks very likely looking at the chart. | daz
11/4/2007 12:38 | Late in but hey, looks good to me | outsider
30/3/2007 15:01 | RAS seems to be developing a useful business in the utility sector that will surely be rerated once it is recognised as successful in what it does. | weatherman
30/3/2007 13:15 | Sometimes it is perhaps prudent not to disclose the buy price specially if you are acting as a consolidator of the sector.Keeps the comptetitors guessing :o) | nurdin
29/3/2007 13:51 | Yep, disclosed sums are always better......but there you go. | papalpower
29/3/2007 13:38 | Looks OK but as weatherman says we dont know the figures involved hopefully they can integrate them into the business quickly. | fse
29/3/2007 08:57 | Looks like a sensible in-fill acquisition on the face of it, with likely synergy benefits by combining UMS with the companies meter point operation. | daz
29/3/2007 07:29 | Aquisition announced today - no price tag given. | weatherman
20/3/2007 12:32 | Picked up a few more today, should hopefully have a run at 150 now that revious resistance has been cleared. | daz
20/3/2007 10:46 | Has gone past its resistance level at 123p...close above that today would augur well for the days ahead.I still say the Centrica gas contract looks imminent | nurdin
16/3/2007 16:51 | DAZ... thing is whats the downside if it does not break out ? moderate gain very low risk surely ? | fse
16/3/2007 16:51 | Got a sneaky feeling they have landed the Centrica gas contract now...Monday should tell..hopefully! | nurdin
16/3/2007 16:34 | Yes been noting the relative strength here as well, re-rating is well over due given the electricity market has finally been cracked. Tempting to add but we've been near the 125p breakout area before and failed. | daz
16/3/2007 16:23 | Yes these have been threatening to break out for some time now and if it had not been for general market malaise would probably have done so by now at least up into the 150p range where they would be no more than FMV. Another set of results and 150p is going to look far too cheap. They really ought to catch up now.... | fse
16/3/2007 14:35 | Creeping upwards.......... | papalpower
16/3/2007 10:16 | Getting close to a break out..watch carefully now :o) | nurdin
03/3/2007 05:22 | Appears watshot.com have gone to a "hold" rating, which might explain the small drop off of late. Target still 150p I believe, but you know some punters, the moment it moves to hold they sell........... | papalpower
20/2/2007 19:05 | I think the reaction today has been very muted to what is a significant announcement, RAS has been trying to crack the electricity market for some time and this announcement if anything is overdue. Given the time taken, it's going to be difficult for a competitor to muscle in and I think the main obstacle to further contract wins is probably a less sophisticated in-house system. Given that the system is identifying under-billing, it surely must have a decent ROI, which I think makes further contract wins inevitable. That said given the time taken, I suspect there has been some tailoring for the client, which if applicable to other electricity companies may mean this takes a bit longer to achieve.. | daz
20/2/2007 16:24 | LONDON (AFX) - Good progress was seen in Revenue Assurance Services, 6 pence higher at 115-1/2, following news that the group has signed its first contract for the delivery of consultancy services and revenue assurance in the Electricity market. The group also confirmed that discussions in respect of a renewal for a gas market contract continue to make good progress, and that trading continues to be in line with market expectations. Bridgewell's Michael Donnelly believes that both contracts relate to Centrica. With a p/e of only 10.5 times to Mar 2008, and earnings growing at almost 17 pct in 2008, the analyst maintains his 'buy' recommendation, and looks for fair value at about 150 pence. | a0148009 |
