05/11/2007 18:21 | Not sure if it is good or bad. Seems they want to sell the Power Plants and basically stop the Biofuel facility (i.e. wasted the cash) BUT they don't want to return the remaining cash to shareholders but want to get involved in trading Biofuels or something similar - thereby guaranteeing themselves jobs. No wonder the website is down and the old guy wants back in. Old guy = Original business model New guys = Spend teh cash in pursuing new ventures. "The main elements of the new strategy are to: a) cease expenditure on construction of the biodiesel manufacturing facility; b) investigate opportunities for selling down and joint venturing in the operations at the Massena and Elmwood Park power plants; and c) to further develop investment opportunities in renewable energy. In addition, the Company will continue its efforts to identify new economic sources of feedstock for its power plants." | omellete

24/10/2007 11:04 | MM's looking for stock...I think. | h4rsh2
24/10/2007 10:31 | markes up twice today on no buys. expect to see large delayed trades? | asparks
23/10/2007 18:26 | Not just buying but the MM's absorbing the sells. It's interesting to watch the action on a share that has fallen from a great height first hand - luckily I was not in from that height. Still find it strange people were selling at 21 & 22 pence - i.e. all time lows and so must have lost anything from £1 downwards per share. | omellete
23/10/2007 18:19 | a little buying this afternoon it seems | robin_of_loxley
22/10/2007 17:03 | hi, anyone have any clue whats going on. why doesn't lewis give up as more shareholder money will be lost. | maestro4
20/10/2007 20:00 | Renewable Power Update re. Notice of EGM RNS Number:9985F Renewable Power and Light Plc 18 October 2007 Renewable Power & Light plc ('The Company' or 'RPL') Miscellaneous The Board of RPL, the independent producer of renewable power, received written notification on behalf of Securities Services Nominees Limited ("SSNL"), the nominee company for David Lewis, former director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company who was dismissed for cause on 27 September 2007, that SSNL did not grant David Lewis a power of attorney or any other authority to requisition the EGM of the Company David Lewis purported to requisition on behalf of SSNL, as was announced by the Company on 10 October 2007. SSNL has further advised the Company that it does not wish to be involved in the requisitioning of an EGM or be associated with Mr Lewis's actions in seeking to replace the current directors of the Company. Accordingly, SSNL has notified the Company that it has transferred its entire shareholding of 12,715,100 ordinary shares in the Company to David Lewis, who was previously the beneficial owner. The Company has subsequently received a further requisition dated 15 October 2007 from David Lewis in the same terms as the first EGM requisition, requesting that the Company propose resolutions to remove all of the current directors of the Company and to appoint David Lewis and David Pinkman as the directors of the Company. As at the date of this announcement the Company has 95,297,603 ordinary shares of 1p each in issue. Shareholders will receive notification of the EGM in due course. Enquiries: Hudson Sandler James White Tel: +44 (0)20 7796 4133 -------------------- Has Lewis lost his marbles, he has no backing. I am intrigue with this share wtf is going on. Never seen anything like this in my short time of trading. I don't think he will get back in. | the elitist
19/10/2007 21:07 | Boffster - Doubt he wants to fold - i think he probably wants it back as he set it up. Plus as an Electric Power man he probably sees the potential - whioch of course we don't, but if the EGM goes ahead we shoud find out. Also interesting to see the 50K and 100K sells taken on by the MM's. Normally they would have trashed the share with that volume of sells. May be they are going to a home. | omellete
19/10/2007 20:57 | could it be possible that, given his interest, he wishes to liquidate the company? | boffster
19/10/2007 20:16 | Anyone any ideas why Lewis thinks he can make a comeback? He must have something up his sleeve whereby he thinks he can persuade shareholders to back him or otherwise he is just plain crazy. | omellete
19/10/2007 14:43 | That big trade looks suspiciously like Lewis's 12.71 mln shares crossing over | boffster
19/10/2007 12:56 | a real old fight going on here now! | asparks
17/10/2007 20:32 | have they stop looking for alternative supply and where the new snr manager. | maestro4
16/10/2007 16:58 | thanks boffster picked up 25 @ 30p already wondering where to average..great start.am told current market cap backed by cash, us generating assets worth about the same therefore could be worth up to 60p if wound up.going to have a closer look at the assets though.dyor. | bubface
16/10/2007 09:32 | Cash position ~£20-25m I believe | boffster
16/10/2007 09:29 | been told i should be hoovering a few of these up,anyone know the net cash position? | bubface
15/10/2007 14:52 | So, a director buying in. That is re-assuring, must have some hope for the future of the business. | boffster
14/10/2007 13:13 | to me it suggests that Lewis and Corvin have done the hard work in finding an alternative supply when they are very close the board sacked them. Fight fight!! Undervalued, gutted as i would have been in profit. | maestro4 |
