I hold some of these - received clarification about timing for payment via scheme of arrangement yesterday:

Renewable Power and Light plc has proposed a return of an initial 10p per share via a capital distribution. It is expected that the effective date of the capital distribution will be 21st February 2009.
Following the capital return the Company is proposing an orderly realisation of its remaining net value for shareholders.

The remaining net value currently stands at anywhere from an additional 15 (worst case?) - 20p (best case? )(dependent on realisation value) any other views?

Thought it might be bought for its name and sector
Effectively its a shell company as it stands with only one way - down as its
losing money - but not so much it isn't worth buying up, good

Renewable Power H1 loss narrows as revenue soars (Renewable Power & Li)

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Renewable Power and Light Plc. posted a
narrowed first-half loss, boosted by more-than-doubled revenue, and said it is
still looking at selling non-core assets.
For the six months to June 30, 2008, pretax loss narrowed to $5.37 million
from $6.27 million a year earlier while revenue soared to $4.11 million from
$1.75 million. Administrative expenses stayed virtually unchanged at $3.37
million versus $3.47 million.
The company attributed the revenue rise to the sale of peak period
electricity and the receipt of capacity payments from the Elmwood Park and
Massena power plants.

asparks - well, revenue went up 250% which in turn only reduced loses by 15%. The company is still losing more money than even the revenue it generates - not out of the woods yet, even if assets are worth more than current share price The model needs to be shown as successful before interest will grow, alternatively put themselves up for sale would increase the share price ..
