02/6/2015 08:54 | Looks like REH will be one of the last major onshore windfarms to get their planning application in before planning laws are devolved to local authorities. The subsidies are also due to change in 2017 but wind farms with granted planning before then will still be able to make use of the current subsidies which are more generous. Can see why they made sure they got their application in before the election. They must have been tipped that things were about to change. Well done. | whoppy

21/5/2015 08:16 | Renewable Energy Holdings plc 21 May 2015 21 May 2015 Renewable Energy Holdings plc ("REH" or the "Company") Update Regarding Welsh Wind Farm Project Renewable Energy Holdings plc (AIM: REH), is pleased to announce that the six month examination phase for its Mynydd y Gwynt wind farm project closed on 20th May 2015 and the project now moves into the recommendation and decision phase. During the recommendation and decision phase the Planning Inspectorate has 3 months to prepare a report with a recommendation to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change, who then has a further 3 months to make the decision on whether to grant or refuse development consent. The directors of the Company therefore expect to be notified of a decision no later than 20 November 2015. The application is for 27 wind turbines of 3-3.3MW each, giving a capacity between 81-89.1MW. For more information on the process of the project see the Planning Inspectorate website | whoppy

13/5/2015 17:17 | We are nearing the end of the examination stage of the Mynnydd Y Gwynt application. The Inspector can then take up to 3 months to issue his report and recommendation and submit it to the Secretary of State who may then take up to another 3 months to make his decision. An appeal against rejection would add a further period to this before a final decision is reached. So I don't expect a decision in the next couple of weeks. John P.S. It's Jeffrey Harding, not John Harding. | john of groats
