RNS Number:4103E Public Recruitment Group plc 25 September 2007 Change of Name and Director Resignation Change of Name Public Recruitment Group PLC ("PRG" or the "Group"), the public sector recruitment and services group announces that it proposes to change its name to Synarbor PLC. PRG is a leading provider of qualified teachers and social workers to the UK public sector. It was the first consultancy to amalgamate its education and social work divisions, a strategic move that helped to exploit internal synergies, and one that was recently mirrored by the Government's restructuring of the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) to the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DfCSF). This unique position has highlighted new opportunities and bolstered the plan for diversification, while fostering the Group's strategy to provide a service support delivery system that will reposition the enterprise among its peers. As part of this repositioning the board believe that it is appropriate for the company to be rebranded. The change of name is subject to shareholder approval. A circular convening an EGM of the Company, which will take place on 18 October 2007, is being sent to shareholders. Resignation of Director The Company today also announces that Darren McLaney has tendered his resignation as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect. As part of the board restructure in April 2007 Darren became a non-executive director to facilitate a smooth hand-over to the new Chief Executive, Dean Kelly. This process has now been completed. The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Darren for his valued contribution to the Company and to wish him every success for the future. Commenting on the change of name, Luke Johnson, Chairman said: "PRG has become a leading innovator within its chosen sectors - not least in its amalgamation of the education and social work sectors. In this respect the company pre-empted the Government's own restructuring of its delivery of relevant services in these areas. And just as the Government's restructuring engendered a renaming of the Department for Education & Skills to the Department for Children, Schools and Families, PRG also feels it appropriate to rename and rebrand its offering to better reflect its new positioning and appeal. Yet this renaming heralds more than a simple correction for accuracy's sake. I am confident it is the beginning of an exciting period in the company's development - as it seeks to exploit the new opportunities available from a deepened and broadened service support offering to the sectors where PRG has developed a leading edge. I, therefore, fully support this resolution" For further enquiries: Dean Kelly/Daniel Urmson Public Recruitment Group PLC (0114 283 4925) Robert Kelsey Moorgate Group (0207 953 7772) This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange END MSCDGGDCGXDGGRS
