MM's can run short of stock and collect at a later date.

Personally doubt the the new Non Exec has anything to do with current Kolo project, more likely brought on board to search out new deals as he sounds like he has the necessary connections/experience - New Year could be very interesting.

This part of the RNS today makes the options grant fair for PIs imho and probably is encouraging the buying today:
