29/11/2006 09:42 | can somebody post the info that was released yesterday? ta | david brent
28/11/2006 19:41 | Onedin - think you are unduly pessimistic. Should get Z34 signed off by the end of the year subject Supreme Decree which also takes a while. There has been a delay due to PetroPeru fast tracking a deal with Petrobras - 6 blocks. You think Peru is a difficult place? Just look at the delay in announcing 24th Seaward by our very own Dti. | steelwatch
28/11/2006 19:18 | I know what's happening. No blame on Plectrum and Gold as far as I can see but the point is the survey work will inevitably be delayed, possibly by as much as a year. It's not like booking a pleasure cruise. Peru is obviously not an easy place to deal in and nobody this side of the Atlantic can have been expecting an exclusive negotiation to take this long. And I'm not prepared to believe the delay with the contract is all due to beaurocracy. | onedin
27/11/2006 19:09 | Onedin - check the GOO thread and put your point to pembury who will put you straight on what's happening with Z34.. | steelwatch
27/11/2006 19:03 | Back in July Plectrum was pleased to announce it, together with Gold Oil, had been invited to start exclusive negotiations with Perupetro S.A. on the details of the Z-34 Exploration Licence offshore Peru. It was expected that the contract would be signed and approved by Perupetro within weeks, with formal approval by the Minister of Energy and Mines sometime later. Their expectations proved well wide of the mark and months later the contract has still not been approved by Perupetro, let alone the currently shaky Peruvian administration. This blows a hole in the joint venture's survey hopes which were planned for early 2007. | onedin
21/11/2006 07:33 | I wouldn't worry too much, the shares are on the up imo. | eddie88

20/11/2006 13:07 | Plectrum Petroleum PLC 20 November 2006 PRESS RELEASE PLECTRUM PETROLEUM PLC ('PLECTRUM', 'THE COMPANY', OR 'THE GROUP') Plectrum to acquire 2D seismic over Nabeul Block, offshore Tunisia Plectrum is pleased to announce that it has awarded the contract to acquire 3000km of 2D seismic data over the Nabeul Block, offshore Tunisia, of which it has a 50 per cent. interest, to Compagnie Generale de Geophysique (CGG). State of the art vessel MV CGG Princess will acquire the data in the second quarter of 2007 over the entire block, which contains a number of previously identified prospects and leads. The Company also announces that it has recently completed reprocessing 1000km of older regional seismic data over the Nabeul Block. These reprocessed seismic lines(1) show a dramatic improvement in data quality confirming earlier assessments of prospectivity and also reveal additional leads on trend with the neighbouring Oudna Field(2), located 12km to the west. Executive Chairman Mike Whyatt said: 'The award of this contract marks a turning point for Plectrum as we move forward into offshore operations. We are reviewing our seismic processing options for the 2007 survey and will update the market accordingly once we have finalised our plans.' ENDS :>)) | krazykid
