Spudders just saw your cost of rns's comment..loll I doubt it, management get a bonus for failure here so that saving is wiped out anyway!

Spudders - RNSs are not cheap and I too would rather news when ready than news for the sake of it.

Steel, I feel for you being a carer, it's demanding yet can be satisfying. Luckily I have only had a brief experience but found it mentally and physically draining.

I might go to the conference and see if I can spot any other member of the board and maybe an Oil representative, it's unlikely but you never know. I have turned much more positive on PTR. I think we should all be used to the lack of news flow by now and just let the board get on with running the company. Every rns must cost a couple of hundred euro to issue so less is more in the coffers.

Best of Luck all, value will out one day !

Hard to believe that PTRs share price touched 0.70 euro cent during 2011 and now some investors consider a bid in the range 12p to 15p good enough to take PTR out once and for all....???? Then others claim that good old Ptr NEVER looked as healthy as it does presently...!!! I guess doctors will always differ and patients will always die....!! With such a variety of opposing views on Ptr is it any wonder that investors remain unconvinced...??

spudders - unfortunately not due to being a full time carer. I went to one in 2007 and decided the cost, time and hassle of getting there just wasn't worth it, especially now the presentations are videod and available to view after a couple of days. OK if you are in the London area though.

Licence 67
The final results of the 3D seismic on Cheremshanskoye and Ledovoye should be with the company in December and they say they will be doing a reserve update before year end based on the results.

licence 61
The company will have results of the seismic from Sibkrayevskoye, Emtorskaya and W. Lineynoye around September 2015.
I don't think this is going to change reserve numbers, its objective is to give more detail to the mapping of the structures and possibly identify another prospect.

Could anyone say when the seismic results are due next year

There is a lot of recycling of views here, granto that has been the case since the confirmation of the merger. It's a very simple equation now, oil production must increase by this new horizontal method. The next result could pave way where we go in the future, but then the seismic result next year could be the largest re-rate factor. Oiler is right, delays are the norm with o&g companies but that doesn't mean a simple one liner explaining what happened is not included, with management just ignoring these things. Dbarron maybe pass this on next time you are at the agm or the next presentation etcGla

The current situation is arguably the best . The PTR crew know the field better than anyone and their experience cannot be dismissed. Oil India bring vast experience and expertise, not to mention innovation. Natlata are well connected and their shareholding gives an element of local influence that is important. so all considered the there main players here make up a good combination. t would be good to see Natlata take a seat on the BoD.

Granto2 its what you said above that makes me believe Oil india would be better dealing with a Russian rather than PTR BOD. I agree Oil india would not buy PTR shares either but Natlatla might!

Looks like our good old BOD are getting back to their usual form in delivering their often slightly delayed RNS updatesLet's hope DF and PD can at least make the news clear as this would mark a real change from the past.VGLTA

Thanks for that - how does that affect the ability to communicate or do you think uncertainty in the market is better for the share price?

The BOD said the Arb well should be complete before the end of last month, so now a considerable delay with no communication as is usual! With their production level as it is, any addition would surely be deemed material. If those recent large trades are attributable to a single new investor, would be nice if it turned out to be Oil themselves, which might also explain why the news is being delayed. Pure speculation on my part, but frustrated at the slow release of news!

...Could just be an investor taking a punt that news is due soon....looks like the arb well result could be overlooked for the h-result now, as that is far more important. Next few days or week are key to which direction we are heading in the next 6-12months gla
