04/11/2014 15:29 | Looks like I was wrong when I suggested they had replaced the drill with a shovel, I should have said a spoon! | danny111
04/11/2014 09:20 | Crude99/ both you and I don't know this license and its potential nearly as well as Oil India, who did serious due diligence om it only six months ago, very little has changed since that date, so their valuation still stands. Oil India bought in at 50% higher than the current share price. OK, the price of oil has dropped and when have had trouble in Ukraine, but doe that warrant a 33% drop in share price. PTR is far from my favorite project but it does have serious reserves to the north and it also has Oil India expertise onboard. More than that the lads in PTR became jaded middle-aged executives ( didn't we all) stressed out, overweight, and not quite as full of the energy of the past… step in Oil India and now there is a whizz on the team. The y will innovate and squeeze every penny. or ruble. I have worked in India and I have never met people to show the westerners how to do it better. so my money is still on the table. GLA. best of luck to you too. final point PTR is a laying hen. a producer. a laying hen - never forget that - same is true when picking a wife !!!! | granto2
03/11/2014 18:05 | Dubh...... I wish you well and so hope it works out for all concerned...!! | crudde99
03/11/2014 17:09 | it is an interesting share in that there are lots of wells coming on stream and a decent infrastructure in place to tie up with, and will huge reserves, it is the kind of license that could suddenly start pumping. it's a three year play. | granto2
03/11/2014 16:17 | @Crude. Me neither. I'm only anchoring on recent the share price. I'm not overly concerned with short term trends but am just humouring myself to pass the time while this share climbs north steadily over the next couple of years. | dubhgeannain
03/11/2014 16:12 | G2, give it a few years and value will out. AMER has done me well over the past couple of weeks but I have got sucked back into a couple of aim plays completely against my new policy of avoiding them, who dares wins 😜 | spudders
03/11/2014 15:45 | I am 10% down on this share so i'll be here for a while. I like to torture myself | granto2
03/11/2014 15:28 | The 39204 trade is mine, it's a BUY. I have decided to start to add again whilst shifting stock to isa. I hope this all works out as you can't offset losses in an isa 😩 | spudders
03/11/2014 15:28 | Dubh...... i would hardly class a mid 6s share price as a re rate of any note...!!! Sounds more like clutching at straws to me..!! Also if the difference between the planned V and H wells (if successful) is a mere 130 Bopd would one have to question the extra costs incurred in bringing a H well into production...???? GLA | crudde99
03/11/2014 14:38 | Any predictions. Here's mine T-5 to produce 300 Bopd. Arb 106 to produce 170 bopd. anything above this will be a plus. what's everyone thinking ? DYOR> | granto2
03/11/2014 14:21 | Paint drying? I'm so there? *gets deck chair On serious note. Will we get a re-rate to the mid 6s on a good outcome 400+ bopd. It's almost like running to standstill for PTR. | dubhgeannain
03/11/2014 13:56 | fk this is like watching paint dry. | surfer2
02/11/2014 11:55 | Hi DB nice to hear from you after your recent break. It would be very good to have a steady flow of decent drill news to get PTR on the investors radar and then hopefully a steady rise in the share price to reflect the value of the known assets - especially as it is after the last few miserable years! | seangwhite
01/11/2014 19:39 | Ravin . I will be happy if the arb 106 well hits oil, I would be very happy at 100 bopd IP if its more then great. Tungolskoye T5 I would be delighted with 300 bopd here but I think it will be more. Anyway we don't have long to wait to find out, Next week for Arb and mid month for Tungolskoye. | dbarr0n
30/10/2014 21:36 | Haha steel you are easily wound up. There are no target dates, they noted in their last rns that all. Spudders that's a shame, odd to wait this long and go when thing just got interesting! | ravin146
30/10/2014 20:27 | Rav, my friend does not like the Russian situation and got bored of holding a share going nowhere in his opinion. He originally bought in as he had a contact who was connected to DB. Keep the faith 😇 | spudders
30/10/2014 19:11 | Here's the exact wording from the last RNS regarding Arbuzovskoye: " "The Arbuzovskoye 106 well is drilling ahead at more than 2,000 metres depth and is expected to be completed later this month." "Expected". That doesn't mean we'll have an RNS tomorrow. Nor does it preclude one. Either way if anyone wants to use the above sentence as a stick to beat PTR with, good luck to them. If no word is out by next Monday week (10th November) only then would I begin to get remotely concerned. That same week should bring in T-5 results too. Having said all that I'd expect an RNS next week. | kevjones2
30/10/2014 18:35 | There we go again with hypothetical "target dates" - Anyone around oilers in general will know that aims and targets are not the same beast. A few days either way would make no material difference and long termers here will recall that sometimes, in the past, several events have been bundled up into periodic operational updates. Not saying that will, or will not, be the case. I am in another oiler which only puts out quarterly updates, even to the extent of not announcing discoveries at the time they are made. What is important is that progress is made over time and those gambling on news releases to settle short term trades aren't pandered to at the expense of genuine investors. Far too much of that on AIM! | steelwatch
30/10/2014 18:08 | Spudders any idea why your mate dumped ptr? Or is he just fed up? Understand, as there is plenty of other stocks more appealing atm.I hope ptr tomorrow meet their target date and give us a treat rather than another trick! | ravin146
30/10/2014 15:48 | Lots of seemingly negative 'Russian' factors around atm.But 'nothing stays the same for long' - mild weather probably not helping sentiment as well.A good H - 400 bopd next week would certainly help sceptics turn to become early buyers - a long way to go though.. | rockin robin
30/10/2014 14:53 | yeah i think we will be told monday or tuesday . Swiss railway sounds the job , | granto2
30/10/2014 14:12 | Well I'll go for next tues or Thursday so management don't think they are beholding to shareholders .. Then another week or so for the main news .. | man1
30/10/2014 10:25 | I'm surprised by the scale of pull back. It could be a latent reaction to the falling oil price, coupled with the weak ruble. There's been previous support around the 5.60 mark. Lets see if it bounces from here. Has news been leaked though? Dbarron has been ominously quiet this week. | dubhgeannain
30/10/2014 10:15 | Anyone expecting infield operations to run like clockwork should put their money in the Swiss Railway! | steelwatch
30/10/2014 09:50 | It's not relevant but a friend of mine who got in at ipo has been dumping his stock over the past few weeks, he obviously has his own agenda. He will have taken quiet a knock but that's the game, all his stock was traded on the irish exchange. Let's hope for better times ahead 😄 | spudders |
