Makes sense to get production and cash flow asap. Also Red Deer success may alter all the plans as big follow on prospects if that comes in.

Mike Buck said should have the Heron results by the end of Sept.

My thoughts too Pro...Looks like Raptor is for next year, they intend concentrating on block XX, unless something else turns up..

What still amuses me is that Mike has said nothing in the Heron-1 result is worse than pre drill estimates..... Significantly we are 5 metres higher ( so better as larger size) and reservoir is better quality.

Mike has even said they might flow well without stimulation.... As all Petrochina Wells are stimulated in the North.

He is in effect saying, for me, Heron will be bigger than Pmean 25 MMBO recoverable and should flow better than Petrochina Wells to the North.

Complete success......

But some people are selling this......its weird..... When the result is so far better than pre r drill estimate what more can you want... Lolol

I thought the same about Red Deer, they are confident in their reading of the geology but the proof will be next week. And hopefully they will start earning money later this year if all goes to plan.

Will be interesting to see what flows they get from Heron-1 without any stimulation as Mike said.

As the reservoir is better quality than PetroChina wells to the north (which have to be stimulated) - going to be very interesting when Heron-1 flow test news comes.

Given its onshore. Shallow. Cheap to drill. Existing infrastructure in place - to be very conservative you can use 5$ a barrel to get some values.

Obviously its worth a lot more, but thats a good low starting point.

These people had some interesting imagery of block XX and one/two of others showing oil traces at surface.

Can't find my original links from 2010ish which were fascinating despite not matched by drill success at that time.

Other locations in East Africa/South American jungle were also interesting as tech exploration facilitating possibilities...

There is no deal with the Chinese as yet. They have approached MATd about farming in to any oil discoveries once proven commercial

It depends what deal was done with the Chinese who will doubtless be pulling the strings here. Until we know the details of the deal the market will reserve judgement
