30/1/2017 16:30 | Indeed. Patience required or get out and try and trade it I suppose. Given level of contracts awarded since last update, I'm going to hold on for March when results are out....may top up if keep on heading lower before then....GLA and DYOR | qs99

26/1/2017 22:47 | It will be interesting to see if PEG wins business for the Abellio East Anglia AVENTRA's in due course. These are the Bombardier trains for that region for which Bombardier will supply 665 such trains. These are due into service by 2019/20 period. Going by the smaller Bombardier contract for supplying 180 AVENTRA's for the London Overground in 2015, for which PEG won an EyeTrain contract a year later (the trains are due for completion in 2018), it is perhaps a timing issue before any such award may be given to PEG for East Anglia (assuming PEG are bidding). On a comparison between the two AVENTRA projects and allowing for lead times, etc, I reckon if PEG were to win a big EyeTrain contract for East Anglia, it might be toward the later part of 2017 before this happens. Perhaps. All speculative on my part but what this tells me is that I imagine that the boys and girls at PEG are busy working on the deals as we speak! | bones

22/1/2017 10:09 | Regarding HS2, this was in yesterday's Times - PEG are of course already in bed with both Hitachi and Siemens: "The contract to build the new generation of trains is generating international interest. Hitachi Rail Europe has said that it will bid for the contract. The manufacturer builds trains at its plant in Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham. Nick Hughes, Hitachi Rail Europe’s sales director, said: “Our HS2 trains would be built in Britain, for Britain, and combine world-leading Japanese Shinkansen technology with British manufacturing knowhow.” Siemens Mobility, meanwhile, has “ramped up” its high-speed rail division with the appointment of two executives to lead its HS2 rolling stock bidding team. Gordon Wakeford, managing director, said that a contract of this size was exciting news for the rail industry and would have a positive impact on the wider British supply chain." | rivaldo
20/1/2017 20:26 | Courtesy of wednesday6 on the LPA thread, regarding Hitachi Rail bidding for HS2 business. Somewhat in the future but maybe of interest to PEG?hTTp://www.itv.c | bones
