From Morning Star...

Pearson, up 4.9%. Citigroup resumed coverage of the education and publishing company at Buy with a 1,425 pence target price. Shares in the company were at 1,182.00 pence on Thursday. On Wednesday, Sky News reported Pearson was set to strike a deal to buy e-assessments company Learndirect, which recently won the Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency's testing mandate away from Pearson. No such announcement has yet been made, however.

(ShareCast News) - Japan's Nikkei has bought the Financial Times from Pearson for 160bn Yen (£829m), according to Dow Jones Newswires.

Japan's Nikkei has bought the Financial Times from Pearson for 160bn Yen (£829m), according to Dow Jones Newswires.That follows confirmation from the British publisher earlier in the day that it was in advanced talks with a possible buyer.

The transaction was announced via an e-mail to Nikkei's subscribers.

Established in 1876 and with news bureus in 26 locations Nikkei's operations range from books, magazines to digital media, database services, broadcasting and other activities such as economic/cultural events.

I read newspapers.

Plus they have hidden value in that you can use them as bog paper or swatting wasps.
