So what causes a stock to quickly appreciate in value? Fundamentals? News? Management? Well yes, to a degree. But what REALLY moves a stock price northward that you just purchased?

The Company announces the following transaction in the ordinary shares of 1p
each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares"):

On 27 November 2006, Parkwood Holdings plc exercised approval granted by
members at its last Annual General Meeting in purchasing 50,000 Ordinary Shares
at a price of £1.05 for holding as treasury shares.

These shares will be held in treasury under S162 of the Companies Act 1985.
Following this transaction Parkwood Holdings plc has an interest in the company
in the form of treasury shares of 100,000 ordinary shares of 1p each
representing 0.51% of the Company's total issued ordinary share capital.

I'm out. Waited most of the year to get into profit with these. Didn't want to miss out having waiting so long. I've probably just been shaken out, but I'm glad to have sold for a half decent profit, so can't complain.

Interesting. The bid has just ticked down, yet stocktrade online will only allow me to buy 500 @ 107, but will let me sell 25,000 @ 103.6 !!

Reckon this is a lame attempt at a shake before the next leg up...

I would like to see around £3 in around 3-4 years time.

The chairman in his statements has said that he wants to raise profit margins to 4% in the next 2-3 years. They are currently around 2.5%.

Turnover should be at around 150m in 3-4 years as well which would give an eps of around 20p.

So if they can achieve a p/e of 15 then £3 is possible.

If the chairman can offload some of his holding to pension funds it could go higher.

How good is this share? I bought in early October after chairman purchased and it has continued to rise ever since.Does anyone have a view for the continued increase and target price? TIA.

Director buying has pointed the way.Trustees regularly adding pushed share price passed 100p.Big numbers for illiquid stock nms of 500.Nice breakout and all eyes on 100p level.No holdings.
