Posted at 24/6/2011 18:24 by dpmcq Sent email to Halifax based on the above and also contact with PKW.See if I get any further?? |
Posted at 17/6/2011 18:41 by dpmcq Sent an email to Halifax about how this was handled - they basically fobbed me off with the nominee shares lumped together.I think one of the problems is that we only got to find out that anyone who had less that 15000 got paid out in full after the event and so even though the rns made it clear about nominee duties, we all assumed only the % PKW originally stated would get bought. If I had know they would have bought all mine I would have made sure Halifax registered my individual interest and not grouped with other share holders. I would bet alot of people are now in limbo waiting for a (much poorer offer) to come from PKW.Now that they can effectively do what they want we are stuffed. As Hewitt has got the company on the cheap IMO he should do the right thing and buy the rest for 70p!!!!!!!! |
Posted at 15/6/2011 05:45 by snape It seems that you are correct. Their small shareholder ruling (which I thought was fair) only applied to certified shareholders and not those in nominee accounts! Misleading and very unfair! So we get aload of PKW shares back that are now delisted. Any suggestions what we can do with them? |
Posted at 31/1/2011 08:36 by grahamty Think it is just Tony mopping up any sellers. They are not going into the market: their broker just has the brief to offer them any stock that comes along. Thus, no selling pressure to push the price down, but also no buying in the market to take it up. You could say that there is no other buyer and this is like price support. If PKW had not been buying in the price would be a lot lower.Overall, hope they can afford it...........do not forget also that they bought in thousands ( ?millions) of shares in about 2007-08 at prices way above £1 ( if I recall about 120p+). So Tony slowly increases his holding by stealth. I am sure he would prefer to be a private company |
Posted at 03/11/2010 12:10 by grahamty Or is it just the company buying back shares in a very very illiquid stock ? It is now 60,000 shares at prices from 37.5p up to 55.75p. For PKW that is enormous volumes. As an aside, AWH's holding creeps up all the time, by default. The free float is only about 6m shares, so it is 1% of the float that they have bought in and cancelled. The new non-exec looks rather high powered ?? Perhaps for the first time we could have an independent Chairman and keep AWH in his box when needed ???? |
Posted at 28/8/2010 12:47 by grahamty Not bad but noone cares...........even with the 4% interim divi |
Posted at 22/3/2010 08:08 by zipstuck consolidating year - buy for the dividend confidence even though ex div |
Posted at 11/3/2010 15:12 by diku So the stock goes ex divi before the results...cart before the horse!!...more like trying to support the share price... |
Posted at 11/3/2010 14:20 by taffee my thoughts exactly...I think its an upfront statementI think 1/problems solved 2/order book up susstantially 3/positive outlook At the end of the day with a market cap of under £5 mill it wouldn't take much to double this. I feel that the payment of a dividend must mean pkw is profitable again |
Posted at 11/3/2010 10:09 by taffee paying a dividend?...cannot be doing so badley imo...fair punt at 25p...spoke to pkw this morning...seems like business as usual and things sortedI have been a member of parkwood leisure for 4 years with no problems at all. |
