Posted at 19/5/2011 00:12 by thupton grahamty - sorry for the delayed post. This sucks and Hewitt is controlling the whole thing in a bad way. I understand finance will be tight for the company but they need to come back with a second offer for the investors left behind to exit fully. Hewitt's trust is majority holder and will benefit most with no risk for him. Bear in mind the employee share schemes for the pleb workers who will also loose out, may be the local authorities and public bodies need to scrutanise this behaviour for future tenders as they are accountable and would may be not like to be seen doing business with people who employ wide boy tactics |
Posted at 01/5/2011 20:12 by thupton This is a stupid situation. If Hewitt wants to take it private, fine. But don't mess around with percentages if investors want to sell let them sell 100% in one hit if the price of 70p is acceptable to them. Can't have your cake and eat it Mr Hewitt. If you don't or can't raise the finance for this, give up on your dream of a private company. This company just seems to be below the radar of other larger global operator's such a shame. |

Posted at 05/5/2007 07:19 by zipstuck I have been in PKW for a long while and from a finance perspective I can understand the no update. Since the results in March, On May 3rd PKW had only the March accounts to review to add to any comments in the March Statement. I therefore assune that there is nothing to add and I am happy to hold on this basis. I may be proved wrong of course. Trouble is that small investors thirst for information and quick returns. This is not a tech stock but a solid growth stock. I imagine a few stop losses are kicking in for those who bought at the top.I will sit tight and wait for a pre close statement or interims. |
Posted at 04/5/2007 12:20 by nickcduk Apologies about the AGM statement. I had assumed it was today. It is a little strange not issuing the statement on the day and I guess that has spooked a few investors. Hopefully todays statement will clarify matters. |
Posted at 04/5/2007 12:10 by penpont Yes, but the AGM was actually yesterday at 11am, at least acc to the AR. That makes for uncertainty esp. when the price is trending sharply down. I've taken a prudent approach and sold some this am to protect profits. In any case I'm afraid this little episode has dented my faith in the company's investor relations and I'm therefore inclined to move on elsewhere. |
Posted at 12/1/2007 08:24 by lex1000 Investors share.Inching up 127p-130p but may fall back IF follows normal trend.Who knows? Great hold. |
Posted at 03/1/2007 12:49 by lex1000 Consider PKW a buy not sell at 110p or less.Wide spread actual bid 107.15p buy 111.88p, market not letting 'em go cheaper.Recent growth investor tip saw PKW almost hit 118p.Chartwise healthy to retrace to pause @ 110p and should fill the gap to trade higher.Buyer was keen to get hold of 30k @ 115p!Sums PKW up nicely growth investors share paying dividend.Dividend Yield 2.28 %.Buy & hold. |
Posted at 17/11/2006 12:43 by nickjoseph Just trying to find out myself and will let you know if anything found. Something is happening, or unless the momentum investor mag is out weekend and someone has a copy of it early. |
Posted at 11/10/2006 07:41 by rivaldo Whoa....an education in itself - many thx Fingers. I'm not a chartist, but I do believe it has influence as firstly, it's followed by a decent number of investors, and secondly, I've seen too many stocks with convincing double/triple bottoms, trend lines etc to be able to dismiss it.Onwards and upwards I say too :o)) |
