Oriel Resources plc ("Oriel", or the "Company"), the London-based chrome and
nickel mining and processing company, announces that on 2 February 2007 it
received a notification given in fulfilment of the obligations imposed under
section 198 of the Companies Act 1985 ("the Act") by Canaccord Capital Inc, that
it is interested in 27,658,851 ordinary shares in the Company. This follows the
purchase of 25,000,000 ordinary shares on 1st February 2007 and results in an
interest of 4.98% of the Ordinary shares of Oriel Resources PLC.
